اشترطت إيران رفع العقوبات واحترام حقها في الاستخدام السلمي للطاقة النووية، من أجل عقد مفاوضات غير مباشرة مع الولايات المتحدة.
ونقل عضو لجنة الأمن القومي والسياسة الخارجية في البرلمان يعقوب رضا زاده، عن وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقجي قوله: إن المفاوضات مع روسيا حول القضايا النووية تم التخطيط لها.
وأضاف أن المحادثات بين إيران والترويكا الأوروبية ستعقد يوم الجمعة القادم في إسطنبول، على مستوى نواب وزراء الخارجية، وفق ما نقلت وكالة «إرنا» الإيرانية.
وأفاد زاده بأن نواب البرلمان أكدوا على أهمية الحفاظ على قوة البلاد، وعلى ضرورة أن يعكس الفريق الدبلوماسي في المحادثات الجارية القدرات الدفاعية والرادعة لإيران.
جاء ذلك خلال اجتماع لجنة الأمن القومي الذي عُقد اليوم (الثلاثاء)، واستضاف وزير الخارجية عباس عراقجي، ورئيس منظمة الطاقة الذرية الإيرانية، محمد إسلامي، حيث بحث مسار المفاوضات النووية ودور القوة الصاروخية الإيرانية كورقة ضغط، إضافة إلى التأكيد على أهمية القدرات الدفاعية للبلاد.
وكان وزراء خارجية فرنسا وبريطانيا وألمانيا والاتحاد الأوروبي أبلغوا الخميس الماضي نظيرهم الإيراني عزمهم على إعادة تفعيل عقوبات الأمم المتحدة على بلاده إذا لم تُحرز تقدماً على صعيد التوصل إلى اتفاق بشأن برنامجها النووي.
وقالت الخارجية الفرنسية إن الوزراء الأوروبيين أكّدوا للوزير الإيراني عباس عراقجي «تصميمهم على استخدام آلية (سناب باك) التي تسمح بإعادة فرض كل العقوبات الدولية على إيران، في حال عدم إحراز تقدّم ملموس» على طريق التوصّل «بحلول نهاية الصيف» إلى اتفاق بشأن برنامج طهران النووي.
وكان المتحدث باسم الخارجية الإيرانية، إسماعيل بقائي قال، أمس (الاثنين)، إنه «لا موعد محدداً أو موقعاً محدداً الآن لعقد أي لقاء جديد بين وزير الخارجية الإيراني، عباس عراقجي، والمبعوث الأمريكي ستيف ويتكوف». وشدد على أن طهران لن تدخل في أي عملية دبلوماسية إذا لم تكن نتائجها مضمونة سلفاً.
ورداً على سؤال بشأن شروط طهران لاستئناف التفاوض، أفاد بقائي بأن طهران دخلت المفاوضات النووية مع الولايات المتحدة بجدية، ولكن إسرائيل ارتكبت جريمة ضد إيران، قبل الجولة السادسة من التفاوض. وأكد: «ما لم نطمئن إلى جدوى وفعالية الدبلوماسية، فلن ندخل في مثل هذا المسار».
Iran has conditioned the lifting of sanctions and respect for its right to the peaceful use of nuclear energy in order to hold indirect negotiations with the United States.
Member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee in Parliament, Yaqub Reza Zadeh, quoted Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi as saying that negotiations with Russia regarding nuclear issues have been planned.
He added that talks between Iran and the European troika will be held next Friday in Istanbul, at the level of deputy foreign ministers, according to the Iranian news agency "IRNA."
Zadeh reported that parliament deputies emphasized the importance of maintaining the country's strength and the necessity for the diplomatic team in the ongoing talks to reflect Iran's defensive and deterrent capabilities.
This came during a meeting of the National Security Committee held today (Tuesday), which was attended by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and the head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization, Mohammad Eslami, where they discussed the course of nuclear negotiations and the role of Iran's missile power as a pressure tool, in addition to emphasizing the importance of the country's defensive capabilities.
Last Thursday, the foreign ministers of France, Britain, Germany, and the European Union informed their Iranian counterpart of their intention to reactivate United Nations sanctions on Iran if no progress is made towards reaching an agreement regarding its nuclear program.
The French Foreign Ministry stated that the European ministers assured Iranian Minister Abbas Araghchi of their "determination to use the snapback mechanism that allows for the reimposition of all international sanctions on Iran if no tangible progress is made" towards reaching an agreement on Tehran's nuclear program "by the end of summer."
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baqaei said yesterday (Monday) that "there is no specific date or location now for holding any new meeting between Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff." He emphasized that Tehran will not enter into any diplomatic process unless its results are guaranteed in advance.
In response to a question about Tehran's conditions for resuming negotiations, Baqaei stated that Tehran entered nuclear negotiations with the United States seriously, but Israel committed a crime against Iran before the sixth round of negotiations. He affirmed: "Unless we are assured of the usefulness and effectiveness of diplomacy, we will not enter such a path."
