دان مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية، اليوم (الأربعاء)، الهجمات التي تشنها إسرائيل على سورية، مؤكداً أنها تشكل انتهاكاً لسيادة البلاد وخرقاً للقوانين والأعراف الدولية وتهدد الاستقرار الإقليمي.
وأعرب الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية جاسم محمد البديوي عن «إدانته واستنكاره بأشد العبارات لهجمات قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلية على أراضي الجمهورية العربية السورية، والتي تمثل انتهاكاً صارخاً لسيادة الجمهورية العربية السورية، وخرقاً للقوانين والأعراف الدولية، ومساساً خطيراً بالأمن والاستقرار الإقليمي».
وشدد على أن استمرار هذه الهجمات المتكررة والمتواصلة من قبل قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلية يعد تصعيداً غير مسؤول واستخفافاً بجهود المجتمع الدولي المبذولة لتحقيق الأمن والاستقرار في سورية والمنطقة.
وجدد الأمين العام التأكيد على موقف مجلس التعاون الثابت والداعم لوحدة سورية وسلامة أراضيها، ورفضه التام لأي تدخل خارجي يمس سيادتها أو يفاقم من معاناة شعبها، داعياً المجتمع الدولي إلى تحمل مسؤولياته لوقف هذه الانتهاكات الخطيرة، ومحاسبة مرتكبيها، والعمل الجاد على حماية الشعب السوري، والحفاظ على سيادة سورية وفقاً لمبادئ ميثاق الأمم المتحدة والقانون الدولي.
The Gulf Cooperation Council condemned today (Wednesday) the attacks carried out by Israel on Syria, affirming that they constitute a violation of the country's sovereignty and a breach of international laws and norms, threatening regional stability.
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasem Mohamed Al-Budaiwi, expressed his "strong condemnation and denunciation in the strongest terms of the attacks by the Israeli occupation forces on the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic, which represent a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the Syrian Arab Republic, a breach of international laws and norms, and a serious threat to regional security and stability."
He emphasized that the continuation of these repeated and ongoing attacks by the Israeli occupation forces is an irresponsible escalation and a disregard for the efforts of the international community aimed at achieving security and stability in Syria and the region.
The Secretary-General reiterated the Council's firm position supporting the unity of Syria and the integrity of its territory, and its complete rejection of any foreign intervention that undermines its sovereignty or exacerbates the suffering of its people, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities to stop these serious violations, hold the perpetrators accountable, and work diligently to protect the Syrian people and uphold Syria's sovereignty in accordance with the principles of the United Nations Charter and international law.
