تحوّلت منصتا «تروث سوشيال» و«إكس» إلى ساحة مواجهة مكشوفة بين دونالد ترمب وإيلون ماسك، بعد أن أصبحت كل منهما أداة بيد صاحبها في معركة النفوذ والتأثير.
ترمب، الذي أنشأ «تروث» بعد حظره من تويتر قبل سنوات، أراد منصة تتحدث بلسانه، وتمنحه السيطرة الكاملة على رسائله دون تدخل. أما ماسك، فاستحوذ على «تويتر» وأعاد تسميته إلى «إكس»، ليعيد تشكيله وفق رؤيته لما يسمى «حرية التعبير»، وجعله منصة تحت سيطرته المباشرة.
المعركة بين الطرفين لم تعد مقتصرة على التصريحات، بل انتقلت إلى حرب منشورات، يُعلّق فيها ترمب من على «تروث» مهاجمًا «إكس» وسياسته، بينما يرد ماسك من منصته بتغريدات تهكمية تطعن في أداء «تروث» وتأثيره المحدود.
وبينما يتمسّك ترمب بمنصته كقاعدة رئيسية لأنصاره، يرفض الانخراط الكامل في «إكس» رغم إعادة تفعيل حسابه، ما يثير تساؤلات حول ما إذا كان «تروث» قد حرّره فعلاً من سطوة «تويتر» أم أنه أوقعه في عزلة إعلامية جديدة.
في المقابل، يستخدم ماسك «إكس» كمنصة لتوسيع نفوذه الثقافي والسياسي، ومكانا لتوجيه الرسائل الساخنة حتى لأقوى خصومه.
وقد بلغ التراشق بين الطرفين ذروته أخيرا، بعد أن تصاعدت الحرب الرقمية بين ترمب وماسك إلى مستوى جديد، بعدما أعلن ماسك تأسيس ما سمّاه «حزب أمريكا»، في خطوة استفزت ترمب الذي سارع بالرد عبر «تروث سوشيال» واصفًا الفكرة بأنها «سخيفة ومربكة»، ومتهكمًا على «انحراف ماسك عن مساره وتحوله إلى كارثة حقيقية». أما ماسك، فرد من «إكس» باستخفاف متعمّد، مؤكداً أن كل شيء ممكن في 2028، قبل أن يقتبس من رواية الخيال العلمي Dune «الخوف هو الموت الصغير الذي يؤدي إلى الفناء التام»، في تلميح واضح إلى خطاب ترمب الذي اعتبره متشنجًا وغير واقعي. وبين الهجوم العلني والتلميح المثقّف، يتّضح أن المعركة لم تعد منصات فقط، بل رؤية متضادة ومثيرة.

Trump, who created "Truth" after being banned from Twitter years ago, wanted a platform that speaks in his voice and gives him complete control over his messages without interference. On the other hand, Musk acquired "Twitter" and renamed it "X," reshaping it according to his vision of what he calls "freedom of speech," making it a platform under his direct control.
The battle between the two has moved beyond statements to a war of posts, where Trump comments from "Truth" attacking "X" and its policies, while Musk responds from his platform with mocking tweets that undermine the performance of "Truth" and its limited impact.
While Trump clings to his platform as a main base for his supporters, he refuses to fully engage on "X" despite reactivating his account, raising questions about whether "Truth" has truly liberated him from the grip of "Twitter" or if it has instead placed him in a new media isolation.
In contrast, Musk uses "X" as a platform to expand his cultural and political influence, and as a place to direct sharp messages even to his strongest opponents.
The exchanges between the two have recently reached a peak, as the digital war between Trump and Musk escalated to a new level after Musk announced the establishment of what he called the "America Party," a move that provoked Trump, who quickly responded via "Truth Social," describing the idea as "ridiculous and confusing," mocking Musk for "veering off course and turning into a real disaster." Musk, in turn, responded from "X" with deliberate disdain, affirming that anything is possible in 2028, before quoting from the science fiction novel Dune, "Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration," in a clear hint at Trump's rhetoric, which he deemed hysterical and unrealistic. Between the public attack and the cultured insinuation, it is clear that the battle is no longer just about platforms, but rather about opposing and provocative visions.
