24 Palestinians were killed, most of them women and children, and 30 were injured in Israeli airstrikes on the port area west of Gaza City today (Monday), just hours after 85 were killed in strikes on several areas of the Strip.
Medical sources in Gaza hospitals reported that 85 Palestinians were killed due to Israeli airstrikes on various areas of the Strip today, including schools housing displaced persons, aid distribution centers, and shelters, among them 62 in Gaza City and northern Gaza. According to the director of Al-Shifa Medical Complex, the hospital received 39 dead and more than 100 injured in just one hour. Additionally, 6 Palestinians were martyred in two airstrikes from Israeli drones on Al-Wahda Street in Gaza City.
Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, received 13 Palestinian dead and dozens of injured after an Israeli bombardment targeted those waiting for aid in the southwestern part of Khan Younis. A source at the Baptist Hospital reported that 13 Palestinians were martyred and others were injured in an Israeli strike that targeted an aid distribution warehouse in the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood south of Gaza City, completely destroying the warehouse.
Al-Shifa Hospital announced the reception of the bodies of 4 Palestinians and several injured as a result of an Israeli bombardment that targeted a group of Palestinians near the Halaweh Roundabout in Jabalia town, northern Gaza.
Eyewitnesses reported that occupation aircraft launched strikes on 5 schools housing displaced persons, 3 of which are adjacent in the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood, including the Jaffa School in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, despite its classification as a "safe" shelter, leading to injuries among the displaced. The Freedom and Al-Falah schools were also targeted.
The government media office in Gaza confirmed that the Israeli occupation has bombed inside the walls of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital for the 12th time, putting the lives of dozens of patients directly at risk of death. It indicated that Israeli forces have targeted 256 displacement centers since the war began, housing more than 700,000 displaced persons.
The office accused the occupation of deliberately targeting these centers, explaining that in June, it bombed more than 11 displacement centers, most of which were schools.
The United Nations Office for Human Rights in Palestine condemned the Israeli occupation army's attacks on tents of displaced persons in the Mawasi area west of Khan Younis, killing entire families despite the area being classified as safe.
