وسط تصاعد خلافات داخل قواته في غزة، أعلن الجيش الإسرائيلي، اليوم (الأحد)، مقتل جندي في كتيبة الهندسة القتالية «601» خلال معارك شمال قطاع غزة، وبحسب إذاعة جيش الاحتلال فالجندي قتل صباح اليوم في بلدة جباليا.
وذكرت الإذاعة إن جيش الاحتلال يجري تحقيقاً في الحادثة، مبينة أن 30 جندياً بينهم 21 قتلوا بعبوات ناسفة خلال المعارك بغزة منذ استئناف القتال مارس الماضي.
وكانت مواقع إسرائيلية أخرى قد قالت إن الرقابة العسكرية تحظر نشر تفاصيل الحدث الأمني في قطاع غزة، فيما أعلنت كتائب عزالدين القسام الجناح العسكري لحركة حماس، وسرايا القدس الجناح العسكري لحركة الجهاد الإسلامي تنفيذ عدد من العمليات العسكرية ضد جنود وآليات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي في قطاع غزة، تركز أغلبها في مدينة خان يونس جنوبي القطاع.
ونقل موقع «والا» العبري عن مصادر مطلعة وجود خلافات في أوساط الجيش الإسرائيلي حول مسار الحرب في قطاع غزة، مشيرة إلى انقسام في الآراء بين من يدفع باتجاه مواصلة العمليات العسكرية ومن يرى ضرورة التوجه نحو إنهاء الحرب.
وأفادت القناة الـ12 الإسرائيلية أن الجيش سيعرض اليوم أمام المجلس الوزاري المصغر (الكابينت) خيارات متعددة بشأن غزة، تراوح بين استكمال احتلال القطاع أو التوصل إلى صفقة مع حركة حماس، متوقعة أن يبلّغ رئيس الأركان إيال زامير الوزراء بأن الجيش يقترب من تحقيق أهدافه المعلنة.
ونقلت صحيفة يديعوت أحرونوت عن قادة عسكريين إسرائيليين أن كتائب عزالدين القسام لا تزال فاعلة، وتنتشر من خان يونس إلى مدينة غزة وضواحيها، وهو ما يعكس صعوبة المهمة العسكرية رغم مرور أشهر على بدء العدوان.

The Hebrew website "Walla" reported from informed sources that there are disputes within the Israeli army regarding the course of the war in the Gaza Strip, indicating a division of opinions between those advocating for the continuation of military operations and those who see the necessity of moving towards ending the war.
Israeli Channel 12 reported that the army will present today to the security cabinet (the "kitchen cabinet") multiple options regarding Gaza, ranging from completing the occupation of the territory to reaching a deal with Hamas, expecting that Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir will inform the ministers that the army is nearing the achievement of its declared objectives.
The newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth quoted Israeli military leaders stating that the Al-Qassam Brigades remain active, spreading from Khan Younis to Gaza City and its suburbs, reflecting the difficulty of the military mission despite months having passed since the onset of the aggression.
