استدعت وزارة الخارجية بدولة قطر، اليوم، السفير الإيراني لدى قطر علي صالح آبادي، حيث جددت إدانة دولة قطر الشديدة للهجوم الذي استهدف قاعدة العديد الجوية من إيران، بوصفه انتهاكًا صارخًا لسيادتها ومجالها الجوي، وللقانون الدولي وميثاق الأمم المتحدة، وبأنها تحتفظ بحق الرد على هذا الانتهاك بما يتوافق مع القانون الدولي.
وأكّد وزير الدولة للشؤون الخارجية سلطان بن سعد المريخي، للسفير الإيراني، أن هذا الانتهاك يتنافى تمامًا مع مبدأ حسن الجوار والعلاقات الوثيقة التي تجمع قطر وإيران، لا سيما أن قطر كانت دائمًا من دعاة الحوار مع إيران وبذلت جهودًا دبلوماسية حثيثة في هذا السياق.
كما أكّد المريخي، ضرورة العودة فورًا للحوار والمسارات الدبلوماسية لحل الخلافات والقضايا العالقة وتجنب التصعيد، وإيقاف العمليات العسكرية سعيًا لتعزيز الاستقرار إقليميًا ودوليًا.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar summoned the Iranian ambassador to Qatar, Ali Saleh Abadi, today, where Qatar reiterated its strong condemnation of the attack that targeted Al Udeid Air Base from Iran, describing it as a blatant violation of its sovereignty and airspace, as well as international law and the United Nations Charter, and that it reserves the right to respond to this violation in accordance with international law.
The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, confirmed to the Iranian ambassador that this violation is completely inconsistent with the principle of good neighborliness and the close relations that bind Qatar and Iran, especially since Qatar has always been an advocate for dialogue with Iran and has made diligent diplomatic efforts in this context.
Al Muraikhi also emphasized the necessity of immediately returning to dialogue and diplomatic channels to resolve disputes and outstanding issues, to avoid escalation, and to halt military operations in an effort to enhance stability both regionally and internationally.
