أدانت دولة الإمارات بأشد العبارات استهداف إيران قاعدة العديد الجوية في قطر، عادةً ذلك انتهاكاً صارخاً لسيادة دولة قطر ومجالها الجوي، ومخالفة واضحة للقانون الدولي وميثاق الأمم المتحدة.
وأكدت وزارة الخارجية الإماراتية في بيان اليوم رفضها القاطع لأي اعتداء يهدد أمن وسلامة دولة قطر ويقوض أمن واستقرار المنطقة، معربة عن دعمها الثابت لكل ما من شأنه حماية أمن وسلامة مواطنيها والمقيمين على أراضيها.
وشددت في البيان على ضرورة الوقف الفوري للتصعيد العسكري، محذّرة من أن استمرار مثل هذه الأعمال التصعيدية من شأنه أن يقوض الأمن الإقليمي ويجرّ المنطقة إلى مسارات خطيرة ستكون لها تداعيات كارثية على الأمن والسلم الدوليين.
ودعت الوزارة إلى اللجوء إلى الحلول الدبلوماسية ومبدأ حسن الجوار، مشيرة إلى أن الحوار الجاد هو السبيل الوحيد لتجاوز الأزمات الراهنة والحفاظ على أمن المنطقة واستقرارها وسلامة شعوبها.
The United Arab Emirates condemned in the strongest terms Iran's targeting of Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, considering it a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the State of Qatar and its airspace, and a clear breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed in a statement today its firm rejection of any aggression that threatens the security and safety of the State of Qatar and undermines the security and stability of the region, expressing its steadfast support for all that would protect the security and safety of its citizens and residents on its territory.
It emphasized in the statement the necessity of an immediate halt to military escalation, warning that the continuation of such provocative actions could undermine regional security and drag the region into dangerous paths that would have catastrophic repercussions on international peace and security.
The ministry called for resorting to diplomatic solutions and the principle of good neighborliness, noting that serious dialogue is the only way to overcome the current crises and maintain the security and stability of the region and the safety of its peoples.
