يعقد البرلمان العربي أعمال جلسته العامة الخامسة (الختامية) لدور الانعقاد الأول من الفصل التشريعي الرابع، يوم السبت القادم، برئاسة رئيس البرلمان العربي محمد بن أحمد اليماحي وذلك بمقر الأمانة العامة لجامعة الدول العربية بالقاهرة.
ويسبق الجلسة العامة عقد اجتماعات اللجان الدائمة الأربع التابعة للبرلمان العربي، بالإضافة إلى اجتماع لجنة فلسطين، واجتماعات اللجان الفرعية، وذلك لمناقشة الموضوعات التي ستعرض على الجلسة العامة ومستجدات وتطورات الأوضاع على النطاقين العربي والإقليمي، وتعد اللجان الدائمة تقاريرها متضمنة الموضوعات والتوصيات التي سترفع للجلسة العامة لمناقشتها وإقرارها.
وستناقش الجلسة تقارير، لجنة الشؤون الخارجية والسياسية والأمن القومي ولجنة الشئون الاقتصادية والمالية، وتقرير لجنة الشئون التشريعية والقانونية وحقوق الإنسان، وتقرير لجنة الشؤون الاجتماعية والتربوية والثقافية والمرأة والشباب، وتقرير لجنة فلسطين.
ومن المقرر أن تتناول اجتماعات اللجان والجلسة العامة العديد من الموضوعات المتعلقة بالتطورات الجارية على الساحة العربية ومستجدات الأوضاع في الأراضي الفلسطينية، وكذلك المستجدات السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية والقانونية وحقوق الإنسان في الوطن العربي، وعدد من الموضوعات مثل رؤية عربية لتعزيز الدبلوماسية البرلمانية والوقائية، وآخر مستجدات التحضير لعقد مؤتمر لدعم الاقتصاد الأزرق في الوطن العربي.
كما تناول اجتماعات اللجان مشروع قانون مكافحة الهجرة غير المشروعة، ووثيقة استرشادية بشأن تمكين ريادة الأعمال الاجتماعية والأسر المنتجة، ورؤية لتطوير التعليم الإلكتروني في العالم العربي، بالإضافة إلى عدد من الموضوعات الأخرى، وذلك تمهيدًا للنظر في إقرارها واعتمادها من البرلمان العربي.
تأتي هذه الجلسة في ختام دور انعقاد شهد نشاطًا مكثفًا من قبل البرلمان العربي على كافة الأصعدة، بما يعكس التزامه بدوره المحوري في دعم القضايا العربية وتعزيز التكامل والتعاون العربي المشترك.
ويعد البرلمان العربي، الذي تأسس عام 2001، منصة تشريعية عربية تهدف إلى تعزيز التعاون العربي المشترك ودعم القضايا العربية على المستويات السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعي، ويضم أعضاء يمثلون الدول الأعضاء في جامعة الدول العربية، ويعمل من خلال لجانه الدائمة على صياغة توصيات وسياسات تُعزز التكامل العربي.
وتأتي هذه الجلسة في سياق إقليمي معقد، بسبب الحرب الإسرائيلية المستمرة على قطاع غزة، وتصاعد الحرب والهجمات المتبادلة بين إيران وإسرائيل، إلى جانب تحديات اقتصادية واجتماعية متفاقمة في العديد من الدول العربية، مما يجعل مناقشات البرلمان حول هذه القضايا ذات أهمية بالغة.
The Arab Parliament will hold the fifth (final) session of its general assembly for the first legislative term of the fourth legislative chapter next Saturday, chaired by the President of the Arab Parliament, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Yamahi, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League in Cairo.
Prior to the general session, meetings of the four permanent committees of the Arab Parliament will take place, in addition to a meeting of the Palestine Committee and meetings of the subcommittees, to discuss the topics that will be presented at the general session and the latest developments in the Arab and regional contexts. The permanent committees will prepare their reports, including the topics and recommendations that will be submitted to the general session for discussion and approval.
The session will discuss reports from the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Political Affairs, and National Security, the Committee on Economic and Financial Affairs, the Committee on Legislative, Legal Affairs, and Human Rights, the Committee on Social, Educational, Cultural Affairs, Women, and Youth, and the Palestine Committee.
The meetings of the committees and the general session are expected to address many topics related to ongoing developments in the Arab arena and the latest situations in the Palestinian territories, as well as political, economic, social, legal, and human rights updates in the Arab homeland. Several topics will be discussed, such as an Arab vision to enhance parliamentary and preventive diplomacy, and the latest updates in preparations for holding a conference to support the blue economy in the Arab world.
The committee meetings will also address the draft law on combating illegal immigration, a guiding document on empowering social entrepreneurship and productive families, a vision for developing e-learning in the Arab world, in addition to several other topics, in preparation for considering their approval by the Arab Parliament.
This session comes at the conclusion of a legislative term that has witnessed intensive activity from the Arab Parliament on all fronts, reflecting its commitment to its pivotal role in supporting Arab issues and enhancing Arab integration and cooperation.
The Arab Parliament, established in 2001, is an Arab legislative platform aimed at promoting joint Arab cooperation and supporting Arab issues at political, economic, and social levels. It includes members representing the member states of the Arab League and works through its permanent committees to formulate recommendations and policies that enhance Arab integration.
This session takes place in a complex regional context, due to the ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, the escalation of the war and mutual attacks between Iran and Israel, alongside worsening economic and social challenges in many Arab countries, making the Parliament's discussions on these issues of utmost importance.
