أكد الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، في خطابه من البيت الأبيض، في أعقاب الهجوم الأمريكي على إيران، أن البرنامج النووي الإيراني انتهى، مبيناً أن الجيش الأمريكي نفذ «ضربات دقيقة وشاملة» على مواقع فوردو ونطنز وأصفهان النووية الإيرانية.
وقال ترمب: «كان هدفنا تدمير قدرة إيران على التخصيب النووي، ووقف التهديد النووي الذي تشكله الدولة الراعية للإرهاب رقم واحد في العالم».
وأضاف: «الليلة، أستطيع أن أبلغ العالم أن الضربات كانت نجاحًا عسكريًا باهرا، لقد دُمرت منشآت التخصيب النووي الرئيسية في إيران تمامًا، لافتاً إلى أن «أهداف الليلة في إيران كانت الأصعب».
واستطرد: «على إيران - المتسلطة في الشرق الأوسط - أن تصنع السلام الآن. إذا لم يفعلوا ذلك، فستكون الهجمات المستقبلية أشد وأسهل بكثير».
وخلص للقول: «سنضرب أهدافا أخرى بدقة إذا لم يتم تحقيق السلام».
U.S. President Donald Trump, in his speech from the White House following the American attack on Iran, confirmed that the Iranian nuclear program has ended, stating that the U.S. military carried out "precise and comprehensive strikes" on the Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear sites.
Trump said: "Our goal was to destroy Iran's ability to enrich nuclear material and to stop the nuclear threat posed by the number one state sponsor of terrorism in the world."
He added: "Tonight, I can inform the world that the strikes were a resounding military success; the main nuclear enrichment facilities in Iran have been completely destroyed," noting that "the targets tonight in Iran were the most difficult."
He continued: "Iran - the tyrant in the Middle East - must make peace now. If they do not, future attacks will be much harsher and easier."
He concluded by saying: "We will strike other targets precisely if peace is not achieved."
