قال الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب في منشور على موقع «تروث سوشال» إنه سيلقي خطاباً للأمة مساء (السبت) بتوقيت واشنطن، عقب انتهاء الهجمات على المواقع النووية الإيرانية.
وقال ترمب في المنشور: «سألقي خطاباً للأمة الساعة العاشرة مساء، من البيت الأبيض، بشأن عمليتنا العسكرية الناجحة للغاية في إيران».
وأوضح الرئيس: «هذه لحظة تاريخية للولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وإسرائيل والعالم»، مضيفاً: «يجب على إيران الآن الموافقة على إنهاء هذه الحرب. شكراً لكم!».
ويُمثل هجوم (السبت) أول تدخل عسكري مباشر للولايات المتحدة في الصراع المتصاعد بين إيران وإسرائيل.
وشمل الهجوم -وفقاً لترمب- ضربة على موقع فوردو النووي شديد التحصين، الذي يقع على عمق نحو 90 متراً تحت جبل، على بُعد نحو 160 كيلومتراً جنوب طهران. وهي خطوة دأبت إسرائيل للضغط على الولايات المتحدة لتنفيذها، نظراً لأن الولايات المتحدة وحدها تمتلك هذا النوع من القنابل القوية «خارقة التحصينات» القادرة على الوصول إلى الموقع. وتُعرف هذه القنبلة باسم GBU-57 MOP (قنبلة اختراق الذخائر الضخمة)، ولا يمكن نقلها إلا بواسطة طائرة حربية أمريكية واحدة، وهي قاذفة الشبح B-2، نظراً لوزنها الهائل الذي يبلغ 30 ألف رطل.
ونفذت الولايات المتحدة الضربة رغم وعود ترمب المستمرة منذ سنوات بمنع بلاده من التورط في صراع جديد في الشرق الأوسط. ومع ذلك، أكد ترمب أيضاً على أهمية عدم السماح لإيران بامتلاك سلاح نووي.
ونشر ترمب، قبل قليل، منشوراً قال فيه إن القوات الأمريكية ضربت ثلاثة مواقع مستهدفة على الأقل.
وقال ترمب في المنشور السابق: «لقد أكملنا هجومنا الناجح للغاية على المواقع النووية الثلاثة في إيران، بما في ذلك فوردو ونطنز وأصفهان».
«جميع الطائرات الآن خارج المجال الجوي الإيراني. أُلقيت حمولة كاملة من القنابل على الموقع الرئيسي، فوردو،»، مضيفاً: «جميع الطائرات في طريقها إلى الوطن بسلام. تهانينا لمحاربينا الأمريكيين العظماء. لا يوجد جيش آخر في العالم كان بإمكانه فعل هذا. الآن هو وقت السلام! شكراً لاهتمامكم بهذا الأمر».
U.S. President Donald Trump said in a post on "Truth Social" that he will deliver a speech to the nation on Saturday evening, Washington time, following the conclusion of attacks on Iranian nuclear sites.
Trump stated in the post: "I will deliver a speech to the nation at 10 PM from the White House regarding our highly successful military operation in Iran."
The president explained: "This is a historic moment for the United States of America, Israel, and the world," adding: "Iran must now agree to end this war. Thank you!"
The Saturday attack represents the first direct military intervention by the United States in the escalating conflict between Iran and Israel.
The attack - according to Trump - included a strike on the heavily fortified Fordow nuclear site, which is located about 90 meters deep under a mountain, approximately 160 kilometers south of Tehran. This step has been a long-standing request from Israel to pressure the United States to carry it out, as only the United States possesses this type of powerful "bunker-busting" bombs capable of reaching the site. This bomb is known as the GBU-57 MOP (Massive Ordnance Penetrator), and it can only be delivered by one type of American warplane, the B-2 stealth bomber, due to its massive weight of 30,000 pounds.
The United States carried out the strike despite Trump's ongoing promises for years to prevent his country from getting involved in a new conflict in the Middle East. However, Trump also emphasized the importance of not allowing Iran to possess nuclear weapons.
Trump recently posted that U.S. forces struck at least three targeted sites.
In the previous post, Trump said: "We have completed our highly successful attack on the three nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan."
"All aircraft are now out of Iranian airspace. A full load of bombs was dropped on the main site, Fordow," adding: "All aircraft are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American warriors. No other military in the world could have done this. Now is the time for peace! Thank you for your attention to this matter."
