تنديداً بسياسات الهجرة التي تنتهجها الإدارة الأمريكية، تواصلت الاحتجاجات في لوس أنجليس، اليوم (الإثنين)، مع انتشار قوات الحرس الوطني بالشوارع، وأعلنت الشرطة اعتقال 56 شخصاً. فيما طالب حاكم كاليفورنيا، غافين نيوسوم، رسمياً، إدارة الرئيس دونالد ترمب بإلغاء أمر نشر قوات الحرس الوطني في لوس أنجليس، بعد أن تحولت شوارعها إلى حرب شوارع بين عناصر الشرطة والمحتجين على سياسة الهجرة، وأصيب شرطيان تعرضا للدهس بدراجة نارية خلال الاحتجاجات.
واحتشد آلاف المتظاهرين وسط منطقة لوس أنجليس بولاية كاليفورنيا وأغلقوا الطريق السريع الرئيسي وأضرموا النار في مركبات ذاتية القيادة، في الوقت الذي استخدمت فيه قوات إنفاذ القانون المحلية الغاز المسيل للدموع والرصاص المطاطي والقنابل الصوتية للسيطرة على الحشود.
وظهر بعض أفراد الشرطة بالدورية في الشوارع على ظهور الخيل، واصطف آخرون يرتدون معدات مكافحة الشغب خلف قوات الحرس المنتشرة لحماية المنشآت الاتحادية بما في ذلك مركز احتجاز احتجز فيه بعض المهاجرين في الأيام الأخيرة.
وجاءت الاشتباكات في اليوم الثالث من المظاهرات ضد حملة ترمب على الهجرة في المنطقة، إذ فجر وصول جنود اتحاديين الغضب والخوف بين السكان.

وأضاف أن السلطات ستكون قوية جداً في لوس أنجليس لضبط النظام، لافتاً إلى أنه سيرسل قوات المارينز إلى المقاطعة اليوم إذا ساء الوضع.
وحذّر ترمب من أنه إذا لم يتم تطبيق القانون في كاليفورنيا فإن إدارته ستتعامل مع الأمر، مضيفاً: «ما رأيناه في لوس أنجليس هو الكثير من العنف بوجود حاكم غير كفء للولاية».
وأكد الرئيس الأمريكي أنه سيفعل ما يجب فعله وسيرسل كل ما يحتاجه لضمان استتباب القانون والنظام في لوس أنجليس، موضحاً أنه إذا توسعت الاضطرابات في لوس أنجليس وتحولت إلى ما يشبه التمرد فسيطبق القانون بقوة. ولفت إلى أنه سينشر الجيش أينما تطلب الأمر ولن يسمح بتمزيق الولايات المتحدة كما كان عليه الأمر في عهد سلفه الرئيس جو بايدن.
وتشهد لوس أنجليس احتجاجات واسعة بدأت يوم الجمعة الماضي رفضاً لعمليات الترحيل القسري التي تنفذها السلطات بحق المهاجرين، بعد أن نفذ ضباط من وكالة إنفاذ قوانين الهجرة والجمارك عمليات في المدينة واعتقلوا ما لا يقل عن 44 شخصاً بتهمة ارتكاب مخالفات لقوانين الهجرة. وأمر ترمب بنشر 2000 جندي من قوات الحرس الوطني في مقاطعة لوس أنجليس لقمع الاحتجاجات.
واندلعت اشتباكات بين الشرطة ومتظاهرين في أعقاب حملات لتوقيف مهاجرين بهدف ترحيلهم إلى خارج الولايات المتحدة. وأظهرت لقطات مصورة اصطفاف نحو 12 من أفراد الحرس الوطني عند مبنى اتحادي في وسط مدينة لوس أنجليس نُقل إليه محتجزون إثر مداهمات استهدفت مهاجرين، الجمعة، ما أشعل فتيل الاحتجاجات.

Some police officers were seen patrolling the streets on horseback, while others in riot gear lined up behind the deployed guard troops to protect federal facilities, including a detention center where some migrants were held in recent days.
The clashes occurred on the third day of protests against Trump's immigration crackdown in the area, as the arrival of federal soldiers sparked anger and fear among the residents.

He noted that he would deploy the military wherever necessary and would not allow the United States to be torn apart as it was during the presidency of his predecessor, Joe Biden.
Los Angeles has been witnessing widespread protests that began last Friday in rejection of the forced deportations carried out by authorities against migrants, after officers from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency conducted operations in the city and arrested at least 44 individuals on charges of violating immigration laws. Trump ordered the deployment of 2,000 National Guard troops in Los Angeles County to suppress the protests.
Clashes erupted between police and protesters following campaigns to detain migrants for deportation from the United States. Footage showed about 12 National Guard members lined up at a federal building in downtown Los Angeles where detainees were taken following raids targeting migrants on Friday, igniting the protests.
