تعرضت طائرة شحن للقصف بعد هبوطها في مطار نيالا، عاصمة ولاية جنوب دارفور، غرب السودان، حيث تدور معارك عنيفة بين قوات الجيش والدعم السريع، بحسب ما أفاد شهود.
ونقلت وكالة الأنباء الفرنسية، اليوم(الأربعاء)، عن مصادر، قولها إن انفجارات قوية دوت طيلة ساعة في عدة أجزاء من المدينة التي تسيطر عليها قوات الدعم السريع التي تقاتل الجيش السوداني منذ شهر أبريل عام 2023.
وتكثفت الغارات الجوية خلال الأسابيع الأخيرة، على أكبر مدينة في دارفور، واستهدفت بشكل خاص مطارها، وتعد المدينة المعقل الإستراتيجي لقوات الدعم السريع.
يذكر أنه مطلع شهر مايو الماضي تعرضت طائرة شحن للنيران في المطار عند هبوطها، وفقاً لما نقلته وكالة الأنباء الفرنسية عن مصدر عسكري.
وأظهرت صور للأقمار الصناعية حللها مختبر الأبحاث الإنسانية بجامعة ييل (HLR) أخيراً، وجود 6 مسيّرات صينية الصنع في مطار نيالا قادرة على المراقبة وتوجيه ضربات بعيدة المدى، وفقاً لما ذكره «HLR».
وخلّفت الحرب آلاف القتلى وشرّدت الملايين وتسببت بأكبر أزمة إنسانية، بحسب الأمم المتحدة.

A cargo plane was bombed after landing at Nyala Airport, the capital of South Darfur state in western Sudan, where fierce battles are taking place between the army and the Rapid Support Forces, according to witnesses.
The French news agency reported today (Wednesday) that sources said loud explosions echoed for an hour in several parts of the city, which is controlled by the Rapid Support Forces that have been fighting the Sudanese army since April 2023.
Airstrikes have intensified in recent weeks on the largest city in Darfur, specifically targeting its airport, which is considered a strategic stronghold for the Rapid Support Forces.
It is worth mentioning that at the beginning of May, a cargo plane came under fire at the airport upon landing, according to a military source quoted by the French news agency.
Satellite images analyzed recently by the Humanitarian Research Lab at Yale University (HLR) showed the presence of 6 Chinese-made drones at Nyala Airport capable of surveillance and directing long-range strikes, according to HLR.
The war has left thousands dead and displaced millions, causing the largest humanitarian crisis, according to the United Nations.
