إسرائيل تغتال قائد وحدة الصواريخ في «حزب الله»

The Israeli occupation army announced today (Saturday) the assassination of the commander of the missile system affiliated with Hezbollah in the Shuqif area in southern Lebanon, Muhammad Ali Jamoul, in a qualitative operation carried out by a drone. It stated that it will continue its operations to eliminate any threat to the state's security and will not allow Hezbollah to militarily fortify itself in southern Lebanon.

Israeli occupation army spokesman Avichai Adraee stated in a statement that "the army attacked the Deir Zahani area in southern Lebanon and eliminated Muhammad Ali Jamoul, the commander of the missile unit in the Shuqif sector of Hezbollah."

He added that during the war, Jamoul promoted plans to launch numerous rocket shells towards the Israeli home front and the Israel Defense Forces, and recently became involved in attempts to reconstruct Hezbollah's infrastructure in the area.

Jamoul's vehicle was targeted early this morning, as an Israeli drone executed the attack in the Deir Zahani area in southern Lebanon.

On another note, the Israeli Air Force launched airstrikes during the night on military sites in the countryside of Latakia in northwestern Syria, targeting weapon depots believed to contain sea-to-land missiles, along with another site housing components of ground-to-air missile systems. These airstrikes represent a resumption of Israel's military operations in Syria after a period of relative calm.

For his part, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed that Israel will not allow immediate threats on its territory, adding: "We attacked this evening sites containing strategic weapons that pose a direct threat to Israel's security. No one is immune, and we will continue to strike any target that threatens us."
