أعلن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب أن اتفاقًا حول وقف إطلاق النار في غزة بات قريبًا جدًا، مؤكدًا أن تفاصيل الاتفاق قد تُعلن اليوم أو غدًا.
وأوضح ترمب في مؤتمر صحفي مشترك جمعه ورجل الأعمال إيلون ماسك، الجمعة، أن الولايات المتحدة تنتظر ردًا رسميًا من حركة حماس حول اتفاق مقترح لوقف إطلاق النار لمدة 60 يومًا، في مسعى لتهدئة الأوضاع المشتعلة في القطاع.
وعلى صعيد آخر، تطرق ترمب إلى ملف المحادثات النووية مع إيران، قائلًا: «سيكون أمرًا رائعًا إذا توصلنا إلى اتفاق مع إيران من دون إسقاط قنابل، إيران تريد اتفاقًا ونحن لا نريد أن نفرضه عليهم». مشيرًا إلى أن هناك فرصة حقيقية للتوصل إلى اتفاق في المستقبل القريب.
وفي ختام المؤتمر، ودّع ترمب إيلون ماسك بمراسم ودية في المكتب البيضاوي، حيث أعلن الأخير انتهاء مهمته كرئيس لوزارة كفاءة الحكومة الأمريكية، وهي هيئة أُنشئت لإعادة هيكلة الجهاز الإداري الفيدرالي.
وأشاد ترمب بدور ماسك في تطوير الأداء الحكومي، قائلاً: «لقد غيّر إيلون بشكل هائل الطريقة التقليدية لإدارة الحكومة في واشنطن». مؤكداً بقاء عدد من أعضاء فريقه الحكومي في مواقعهم لدعم استمرارية العمل.
من جانبه، أعرب ماسك عن تقديره لتجربته الحكومية، مشيدًا بجهود فريقه، قبل أن يتسلم «مفتاح البيت الأبيض الذهبي» تكريميًا من الرئيس الأمريكي كرمز لتقدير الجهود التي بذلها خلال فترة عمله.
ماسك سيعود للتركيز على مشاريعه الخاصة، أبرزها «تيسلا» للسيارات الكهربائية و«سبيس إكس» المتخصصة في الفضاء، إلى جانب منصته «إكس».

Trump explained in a joint press conference with businessman Elon Musk on Friday that the United States is awaiting an official response from Hamas regarding a proposed ceasefire agreement for 60 days, in an effort to calm the escalating situation in the region.
On another note, Trump touched on the issue of nuclear talks with Iran, saying: "It would be great if we could reach an agreement with Iran without dropping bombs; Iran wants an agreement, and we do not want to impose it on them." He noted that there is a real opportunity to reach an agreement in the near future.
At the end of the conference, Trump bid farewell to Elon Musk in a friendly ceremony in the Oval Office, where the latter announced the end of his mission as head of the U.S. Office of Efficiency, an agency created to restructure the federal administrative apparatus.
Trump praised Musk's role in improving government performance, stating: "Elon has dramatically changed the traditional way of managing government in Washington." He confirmed that several members of his government team will remain in their positions to support continuity of work.
For his part, Musk expressed his appreciation for his government experience, praising his team's efforts, before receiving the "Golden Key to the White House" as a token of appreciation for the efforts he made during his tenure.
Musk will return to focusing on his private projects, most notably "Tesla" for electric cars and "SpaceX" specializing in space, along with his platform "X".
