Syrian sources confirmed today (Saturday) that a high-ranking Syrian security delegation from intelligence visited areas in northeastern Syria, as part of discussions regarding the handover of camps housing the families of ISIS fighters and detention centers for members of the organization to the authorities. The visit included detention centers and prisons that contain ISIS members, as well as the Al-Hol camp, in implementation of the agreement previously reached between Damascus and the Syrian Democratic Forces.

Last week, U.S. President Donald Trump urged Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara during their meeting in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, to take responsibility for detention centers housing ISIS fighters that are under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). There are 26 centers where ISIS members are held, all located in the eastern part of the country, housing fighters and foreign elements who are not Syrian, numbering around 12,000 and coming from more than 50 countries around the world.

Syrian media reported that the security delegation's visit to the camps does not pave the way for the handover of the organization’s members' prisons to Damascus.

At the same time, the wife of the ISIS governor in Syria and Iraq, Umm Khadijah the Chechen, revealed in an interview with Al Arabiya/Al Hadath channel details of her joining the terrorist organization and many other secrets, confirming that her husband Abdullah Maki Al-Rifai, the second man in ISIS leadership, gradually changed her and was the reason for her joining ISIS.

She said: I did not know how to read the Quran, and Russian teachers were the ones who taught us within the organization, indicating that punishments were imposed on those who missed religious lessons.

She added: "My husband taught me the flexibility of what is permissible and forbidden within the organization," noting that at the beginning of her joining the organization, there were no religious lessons, but after her husband's death, she was transferred to a guesthouse in Manbij where she began learning the Quran, and later, lessons in creed and jurisprudence were imposed on her as punishment.

She continued: "The Nusaybah Brigade used to categorize women according to their intentions, and most of those wishing to carry out suicide operations were of European nationalities, while Chechen and Russian women were few," pointing out that she lived as a widow for years inside the guesthouses and did not hear details about the captives except from visiting women, and she did not meet any Yazidi woman until 2019.

Regarding her witnessing the fate of Yazidi women within the ISIS terrorist organization as captives, she said: "I saw clips about the captives and imagined myself in their place. I felt that what happened to them was inhumane, and if I were in their place, I would not have endured for a single moment."

As for her husband (Abu Khadijah) in the last days, she said: He used her to hide from sight, indicating that he was sleepless at night and the explosive belt never left him.

She added: He always expected an imminent raid by American forces on his stronghold in the Anbar desert, emphasizing: "During the pursuit of an American aircraft of a car that was transporting them, at that moment, he asked me to wear an explosive belt, but I refused, so he forced me to do so to avoid being captured by American forces."

She indicated that she survived rocket bombardment twice and the siege more than once in the Iraqi Anbar desert, and regarding his death, she clarified that she was informed a day later without any clear details or seeing his body, but she was informed on Saturday that he died on Friday.
