صرح المتحدث باسم هيئة الزكاة والضريبة والجمارك «زاتكا» حمود الحربي بأن الهيئة تمكنت في ميناء الملك عبدالعزيز من إحباط محاولة تهريب كمية كبيرة من حبوب الإمفيتامين بلغت 5,388,998 حبة، عثُر عليها مُخبأة في إرسالية واردة إلى المملكة عبر الميناء.
إرسالية فحم
وأوضح الحربي أنه وردت عبر الميناء إرسالية عبارة عن «فحم» وعند خضوعها للإجراءات الجمركية، والكشف عليها عبر التقنيات الأمنية، والوسائل الحية، عُثر على تلك الكمية من الحبوب مُخبأة بداخل أكياس الفحم.
وأضاف أنه بعد إتمام عملية الضبط، جرى التنسيق مع المديرية العامة لمكافحة المخدرات لضمان القبض على مستقبلي المضبوطات داخل المملكة، حيث تم القبض عليهم، والبالغ عددهم 3 أشخاص.
وأكّد الحربي أن الهيئة عبر منافذها الجمركية ماضية في إحكام الرقابة الجمركية على واردات وصادرات المملكة، وتقف بالمرصاد أمام محاولات أرباب التهريب، وذلك تحقيقًا لأبرز ركائز إستراتيجيتها المتمثلة في تعزيز أمن وحماية المجتمع بالحد من محاولات تهريب مثل هذه الآفات وغيرها من الممنوعات.
The spokesperson for the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority "ZATCA," Hamoud Al-Harbi, stated that the authority managed to thwart an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of amphetamine pills amounting to 5,388,998 pills, which were found hidden in a shipment arriving in the Kingdom through the port.
Coal Shipment
Al-Harbi explained that a shipment of "coal" arrived at the port, and when it underwent customs procedures and was inspected using security technologies and live means, that quantity of pills was found hidden inside the coal bags.
He added that after completing the seizure process, coordination was made with the General Directorate for Drug Control to ensure the arrest of those receiving the seized items inside the Kingdom, where three individuals were apprehended.
Al-Harbi confirmed that the authority, through its customs outlets, is continuing to tighten customs control over the Kingdom's imports and exports, standing vigilant against the attempts of smugglers, in line with one of the main pillars of its strategy, which is to enhance the security and protection of society by reducing attempts to smuggle such harmful substances and other prohibited items.
