استقبل النائب العام، رئيس مجلس النيابة العامة الشيخ سعود المعجب، أعضاء المجلس بعد صدور الأمر الملكي بتشكيله لمدة أربع سنوات، ورحّب بهم وهنأهم بالثقة الملكية، متمنيًا لهم التوفيق والسداد في أداء مهماتهم ومسؤولياتهم.
وعقد المجلس اجتماعه برئاسة النائب العام، واستهل الاجتماع برفع أسمى آيات الشكر والعرفان باسمه واسم أعضاء المجلس إلى خادم الحرمين وولي العهد على تشكيل المجلس وما تحظى به النيابة العامة من دعمٍ كريم ورعاية دائمة تعزز استقلالها وتمكّنها من أداء مهماتها القضائية بكفاءة واقتدار.
واستعرض المجلس الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول أعماله، المتصلة بتطوير الأداء المؤسسي للنيابة العامة، وتعزيز كفاءة إجراءاتها القضائية، والارتقاء بجودة أعمالها، بما يواكب مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030.
يشار إلى أن المجلس هو الجهة المختصة بالشؤون الوظيفية لأعضاء النيابة العامة، ورسم سياساتها العامة، وإقرار لوائحها وتنظيماتها، بما يعزز استقلالها وكفاءة أدائها، ويُشكّل كل أربع سنوات بأمرٍ ملكيّ.
The Attorney General, Chairman of the Public Prosecution Council, Sheikh Saud Al-Muajab, received the council members after the royal decree was issued to form it for a period of four years. He welcomed them and congratulated them on the royal trust, wishing them success and guidance in carrying out their duties and responsibilities.
The council held its meeting chaired by the Attorney General, and began the meeting by expressing the highest levels of gratitude and appreciation on his behalf and on behalf of the council members to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince for the formation of the council and for the generous support and continuous care that the Public Prosecution receives, which enhances its independence and enables it to perform its judicial tasks efficiently and effectively.
The council reviewed the topics listed on its agenda related to developing the institutional performance of the Public Prosecution, enhancing the efficiency of its judicial procedures, and improving the quality of its work, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
It is worth noting that the council is the competent authority for the employment affairs of the Public Prosecution members, setting its general policies, and approving its regulations and organizational structures, in a way that enhances its independence and the efficiency of its performance, and is formed every four years by royal decree.
