رأس أمير المنطقة الشرقية رئيس مجلس هيئة تطوير المنطقة الأمير سعود بن نايف بن عبدالعزيز، اليوم (الأربعاء)، اجتماع مجلس الهيئة، بحضور نائب أمير المنطقة الشرقية نائب رئيس المجلس رئيس اللجنة التنفيذية الأمير سعود بن بندر بن عبدالعزيز، وأصحاب السعادة أعضاء المجلس.
وأكد أمير المنطقة الشرقية، في مستهل الاجتماع، أن ما تحظى به المنطقة من دعم واهتمام كريم من القيادة الرشيدة مكّنها من تحقيق قفزات نوعية في مسيرة التنمية والبناء، مشددا على أهمية استمرار التكامل والتنسيق بين مختلف الجهات الحكومية والخاصة لتحقيق أعلى مستويات الكفاءة في تنفيذ المشاريع التنموية، وضمان استدامتها بما يعود بالنفع على المواطن والمقيم، ويواكب مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030، منوها بأهمية تطوير المبادرات النوعية التي تسهم في تعزيز جودة الحياة وتحقيق تنمية متوازنة وشاملة في مدن ومحافظات المنطقة الشرقية.
واستعرض المجلس عددا من الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول الأعمال، من أبرزها حالة المشاريع الإنشائية والتنموية الجاري تنفيذها في مدن ومحافظات المنطقة، ومن بينها مشروع تطوير مركز مدينة الخبر، ومشروع تأهيل وترميم قصر دارين وبلدة دارين التراثية، وممشى ومركز الفنون، ومنتزه الخبر البيئي، وكورنيش الخبر الجنوبي.
كما اعتمد المجلس تقرير المؤشرات الحضرية للمنطقة الشرقية لعام 2025م، الذي يعكس واقع التنمية ومستوى التقدم الحضري في المنطقة، ووافق على مشروع الإستراتيجية المؤسسية لهيئة تطوير المنطقة الشرقية (2026–2030) الهادفة إلى رفع كفاءة العمل المؤسسي وتعزيز الأثر التنموي، إضافة إلى الاطلاع على مستجدات أعمال الهيئة ومبادراتها النوعية.
من جانبه، رفع الرئيس التنفيذي المكلف لهيئة تطوير المنطقة الشرقية الدكتور طلال بن نبيل المغلوث الشكر والتقدير لأمير المنطقة الشرقية رئيس مجلس الهيئة، ونائبه، على دعمهما المستمر وتوجيهاتهما السديدة التي تمثل دافعا رئيسا لتحقيق مستهدفات التنمية الشاملة في المنطقة، مؤكدا أن الهيئة تمضي بخطى ثابتة نحو تطوير منظومة العمل المؤسسي بما ينعكس على التنمية وتعزيز جودة الحياة في مدن ومحافظات المنطقة.
The Emir of the Eastern Province, Chairman of the Board of the Eastern Province Development Authority, Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, chaired today’s (Wednesday) meeting of the Board, with the presence of the Deputy Emir of the Eastern Province, Vice Chairman of the Council, and Chairman of the Executive Committee, Prince Saud bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, along with the esteemed members of the council.
The Emir of the Eastern Province emphasized at the beginning of the meeting that the support and generous attention the region receives from the wise leadership has enabled it to achieve significant leaps in the journey of development and construction. He stressed the importance of continuing integration and coordination among various governmental and private entities to achieve the highest levels of efficiency in implementing developmental projects and ensuring their sustainability, which benefits both citizens and residents, and aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. He highlighted the importance of developing qualitative initiatives that contribute to enhancing the quality of life and achieving balanced and comprehensive development in the cities and governorates of the Eastern Province.
The council reviewed several topics on the agenda, most notably the status of construction and developmental projects currently being implemented in the cities and governorates of the region, including the development project for the city center of Khobar, the rehabilitation and restoration project for Darin Palace and the heritage town of Darin, the promenade and arts center, the Khobar Environmental Park, and the southern Khobar Corniche.
The council also approved the Urban Indicators Report for the Eastern Province for the year 2025, which reflects the reality of development and the level of urban progress in the region. It also approved the Institutional Strategy Project for the Eastern Province Development Authority (2026–2030), aimed at enhancing institutional work efficiency and boosting developmental impact, in addition to reviewing the latest developments in the authority's work and its qualitative initiatives.
For his part, the Acting CEO of the Eastern Province Development Authority, Dr. Talal bin Nabil Al-Maghlouth, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Emir of the Eastern Province, Chairman of the Board, and his deputy, for their continuous support and wise directives, which represent a major driving force for achieving the objectives of comprehensive development in the region. He affirmed that the authority is moving steadily towards developing the institutional work system, which will reflect positively on development and enhance the quality of life in the cities and governorates of the region.
