جاء التحذير ضمن حملة وطنية بعنوان «خلك نبيه»، تستهدف رفع الوعي العام بمخاطر دعم المتسولين، والتأكيد على أن العطاء الحقيقي يكون عبر القنوات الرسمية التي تضمن وصول المساعدة لمستحقيها من خلال الجمعيات المرخصة والبرامج الحكومية المعتمدة.

The warning came as part of a national campaign titled "Stay Aware," which aims to raise public awareness about the dangers of supporting beggars and to emphasize that true giving should be through official channels that ensure assistance reaches those who deserve it through licensed charities and approved government programs.
The campaign carries implications that go beyond the humanitarian concept to the security depth, as it reminds the community that begging is no longer an individual phenomenon but may serve as a front for organized activities that fund unknown entities or are used in money laundering crimes and the exploitation of children and women.
