عقدت الهيئة العامة لمجلس الشورى، اجتماعها الثالث برئاسة الدكتور عبدالله إبراهيم آل الشيخ، وحضور نائبه الدكتور مشعل فهم السُّلمي، ومساعد الرئيس الدكتورة حنان الأحمدي، والأمين العام للمجلس محمد المطيري، ورؤساء اللجان المتخصصة؛ وذلك للنظر في الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول أعمالها.
ووافقت الهيئة، خلال اجتماعها، على إحالة عدد من التقارير المتعلقة بالأداء السنوي لعدد من الأجهزة الحكومية، من بينها التقرير السنوي للهيئة العامة للولاية على أموال القاصرين ومن في حكمهم، والتقرير السنوي لبنك التصدير والاستيراد السعودي.
كما أحالت الهيئة العامة خلال اجتماعها عدداً من مشاريع الاتفاقيات ومذكرات التفاهم والتعاون مع عدد من الدول الشقيقة والصديقة في عدة مجالات؛ تمهيداً لعرضها أمام المجلس في إحدى جلساته العامة خلال الفترة القادمة.
يشار إلى أنّ الهيئة العامة لمجلس الشورى، تختص بوضع الخطة العامة للمجلس ولجانه، والتأكد من النواحي الإجرائية لتقارير اللجان، ووضع جدول أعمال جلسات المجلس، إضافة إلى عدد من الاختصاصات الأخرى التي تضمنتها قواعد وإجراءات عمل المجلس ولائحته الداخلية.

The General Authority of the Shura Council held its third meeting chaired by Dr. Abdullah Ibrahim Al Sheikh, with the attendance of his deputy Dr. Mishal Fahm Al-Sulami, the assistant president Dr. Hanan Al-Ahmadi, the secretary-general of the council Mohammed Al-Mutairi, and the heads of specialized committees; to consider the topics listed on its agenda.
During its meeting, the authority approved the referral of several reports related to the annual performance of a number of government agencies, including the annual report of the General Authority for the Guardianship of the Funds of Minors and Those in Their Custody, and the annual report of the Saudi Export-Import Bank.
The General Authority also referred during its meeting a number of draft agreements and memorandums of understanding and cooperation with several brotherly and friendly countries in various fields; in preparation for presenting them to the council in one of its upcoming public sessions.
It is worth noting that the General Authority of the Shura Council is responsible for setting the general plan for the council and its committees, ensuring the procedural aspects of the committees' reports, setting the agenda for the council's sessions, in addition to several other competencies included in the rules and procedures of the council and its internal regulations.
