أمير جازان يتسلّم شهادة اعتماد محافظة العارضة «مدينة صحية»

The Prince of Jazan Region, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz, attended today the ceremony for the delivery of the certificate of accreditation of Al-Aridah Governorate as a Healthy City by the World Health Organization, accompanied by his deputy, Prince Nasser bin Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Jiluwi, and the Minister of Health, Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel, as well as the Chairman of the Founding Council for the Southern Sector of Health Gatherings, Dr. Mohammed Al-Qasim.

Upon the arrival of the Prince of Jazan at the venue of the ceremony at the Prince Sultan Cultural Center, the royal anthem was played, followed by the opening speech of the ceremony with the recitation of the Holy Quran.

After that, the Prince of Jazan and the attendees watched presentations about the accreditation of Al-Aridah Governorate as a Healthy City, highlighting the efforts made in this regard. The presentations focused on the efforts exerted to obtain the accreditation through environmental commitment, implementing standards related to air quality, combating pollution, ensuring water and food safety, applying anti-smoking programs, in addition to the qualitative initiatives and the efforts of committees in monitoring compliance with the World Health Organization standards, aiming to ensure sustainability in performance and achieve continuous improvement.

Thus, 80 criteria from the World Health Organization standards were met, as Al-Aridah exceeded the final evaluation and obtained the international accreditation certificate, distinguished by its "gardens, walking areas, and health promotion through schools and primary care centers," in line with the objectives of the health sector transformation according to Saudi Vision 2030 to achieve a thriving environment and a vibrant community based on the health of individuals and society.

Then, the Minister of Health delivered a speech on this occasion, congratulating the Prince of Jazan Region and his deputy on the accreditation of Al-Aridah Governorate as a Healthy City, considering this a reflection of the programs of Saudi Vision 2030, most notably the Health Sector Transformation and Quality of Life Program, and a result of the integrated efforts between various governmental, private, and non-profit sectors in enhancing human health and improving the quality of life.

The Minister of Health explained that the ministry is working to expand the application of the Healthy Cities Program in various regions of the Kingdom, contributing to building a vibrant community where individuals enjoy prosperous health, noting that this direction comes within the efforts to build a preventive and comprehensive health system that meets the ambitious aspirations of the Kingdom's vision.

Following that, the Prince of Jazan Region, his deputy, and the Minister of Health witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Health in Jazan and the "Wujooh Al-Tibb" medical company, as part of the private sector's contribution to sustainable health development in the fields of diagnosis, treatment, and radiology, and another memorandum of understanding between the Jazan Health Gathering and the Abdullah Al-Rajhi Charity Foundation to establish a center for hereditary blood diseases at Prince Mohammed bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz Hospital.

Then, the Prince of Jazan received the certificate of accreditation of Al-Aridah Governorate as a Healthy City from the Minister of Health, affirming that Al-Aridah's accreditation as a Healthy City came thanks to God Almighty and the support of the leadership, which has spared no effort to provide all resources necessary to elevate the level of services and improve the quality of life, while also praising the efforts of all sectors and their collaboration to obtain the accreditation that will contribute to building a healthy and environmental community in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and achieving its objectives.

At the end of the ceremony, commemorative photos were taken of the Prince of the Region, his deputy, and the Minister of Health with the participating government entities in the accreditation of Al-Aridah as a Healthy City.
