The approval of the Council of Ministers yesterday, chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, for the organization of the National Institute for Health Research reflects the leadership's keen interest in ensuring the provision of comprehensive and integrated healthcare for all citizens and residents alike, in a fair and accessible manner.

Believing in the importance of healthcare, the Saudi government has sought to develop a unified and comprehensive system for all health licensing services, distinguished by a fully integrated technical system directly connected with the relevant government entities.

Since human health is at the top of the priorities, the Kingdom provides healthcare services to more than 32 million citizens and residents, in addition to millions of visitors during the Hajj and Umrah seasons, through a network of health facilities that includes medical cities, specialized hospitals, university hospitals, military hospitals, and primary care centers; facilitating beneficiaries' access to health services and easing their movement between different types of care, in line with the aspirations and targets set in Saudi Vision 2030.
