استعرض الدكتور عبدالله البريدي ملامح الحراك الفلسفي في المملكة ومراحله المتعددة، خلال ندوة حوارية بعنوان «الحراك الفلسفي السعودي» نظمتها القناة الثقافية ضمن فعاليات معرض الرياض الدولي للكتاب 2025، وقدّمتها حزوا العجمي، بحضور جمعٍ من المهتمّين بالفكر والمعرفة.
وأوضح البريدي أن تعريف الفلسفة يُعد من أكثر القضايا إشكاليةً لتعدد اتجاهاتها الفكرية، مؤكداً أن أهميتها تكمن في دورها كمصدرٍ من مصادر المعرفة، إذ تُلهم الأفراد والمؤسسات التفكير النقدي وتوسيع الأفق المعرفي.
وتناول في حديثه 5 مراحل مرّ بها الحراك الفلسفي السعودي، بدأت بالمناشط المنبرية في الأندية الأدبية التي مهّدت الطريق للعقل المتفلسف، ثم مرحلة الكيانات الفلسفية التي أسهمت في نشر الوعي الفلسفي، تلتها مرحلة التكوينات التعليمية، ثم مرحلة الكيانات التأثيرية، وصولاً إلى مرحلة تأسيس البصمة الفلسفية السعودية.
وبيّن أنه يتحفّظ على استخدام وصف «الفلاسفة السعوديين» دون وعيٍ دقيق بمفهوم الفلسفة، معتبراً أن كثيراً من الكتّاب والمفكرين في المملكة يلامسونها في أعمالهم الأدبية، إلا أن الإنتاج الفلسفي المحلي ما زال في طور التكوين ويحتاج إلى ترسيخٍ وبحث أعمق.
وأشار إلى أن المعرفة الفلسفية تسعى إلى بلوغ الحقائق المتعالية، وأن الحراك الفلسفي في أي مجتمعٍ يتطور وفق مسارين متكاملين: مسار كوني متصل بالفكر الإنساني العام، وآخر محلي يستجيب للخصوصية الثقافية للمجتمع. وختم حديثه بالتأكيد على العلاقة الجدلية بين الفلسفة والدين، بوصفهما طريقين مختلفين نحو الحقيقة الواحدة.
ويواصل معرض الرياض الدولي للكتاب 2025 فعالياته حتى 11 أكتوبر الجاري في جامعة الأميرة نورة بنت عبدالرحمن، مقدماً باقةً متنوعة من الندوات والحوارات والورش الثقافية التي تجمع المفكرين والمبدعين من مختلف أنحاء العالم.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Buraidi reviewed the features of the philosophical movement in the Kingdom and its various stages during a dialogue seminar titled "The Saudi Philosophical Movement," organized by the Cultural Channel as part of the activities of the Riyadh International Book Fair 2025, presented by Hazwa Al-Ajmi, with the attendance of a group of those interested in thought and knowledge.
Al-Buraidi clarified that the definition of philosophy is one of the most problematic issues due to the diversity of its intellectual directions, emphasizing that its importance lies in its role as a source of knowledge, as it inspires individuals and institutions to engage in critical thinking and expand their cognitive horizons.
In his talk, he addressed five stages that the Saudi philosophical movement has gone through, starting with the platform activities in literary clubs that paved the way for philosophical thinking, followed by the stage of philosophical entities that contributed to spreading philosophical awareness, then the stage of educational formations, followed by the stage of influential entities, culminating in the establishment of the Saudi philosophical footprint.
He indicated that he is cautious about using the term "Saudi philosophers" without a precise understanding of the concept of philosophy, considering that many writers and thinkers in the Kingdom touch upon it in their literary works, yet local philosophical production is still in the formation stage and needs to be solidified and researched more deeply.
He pointed out that philosophical knowledge seeks to reach transcendent truths, and that the philosophical movement in any society evolves along two complementary paths: a universal path connected to general human thought, and a local path that responds to the cultural specificity of the community. He concluded his talk by emphasizing the dialectical relationship between philosophy and religion, describing them as two different paths toward the singular truth.
The Riyadh International Book Fair 2025 continues its activities until October 11 at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, offering a diverse array of seminars, dialogues, and cultural workshops that bring together thinkers and creators from around the world.
