صدر للكاتب عبدالله ثابت «كتاب الحفلة.. كرة القدم، إحماء الذاكرة والكلمات»، ويتناول المؤلف فيه كرة القدم من وجهة نظر أدبية.
وتعد التجربة الصادرة عن دار تشكيل غير مسبوقة على مستوى المسيرة الكتابية الشخصية للشاعر والروائي ثابت، أو على مستوى الأدبين السعودي والعربي، اللذين يندر فيهما هذا النوع من الطرح والتأليف الرياضي الثقافي الأدبي، إذ بنى المؤلف تأملاته الجمالية على اللعبة نفسها، بمكوناتها، مثل الملعب واللاعب وخيالاته، والمدرب والحكم والجمهور الرياضي والمعلّق والتعليق، بوصفه جنساً أدبياً، وطرح سؤال «لماذا نحب كرة القدم؟» ليجيب عنه في مواضع كثيرة من الكتاب.
ويرى الكاتب أن كرة القدم أحد الأشكال النموذجية القليلة والنادرة لما تبقى من صراعات الجسد، قبل اختراع الآلات والشاشات والأسلحة في لحظة متهورة من التاريخ، بحسب وصفه، مشيراً إلى أن تأثير كرة القدم يتجاوز الرياضة إلى السياسة والاقتصاد والفنون، وخصص فصلاً شعرياً ومسرحياً في الجزء الأخير من كتابه، أعقبه بخاتمة مبتهجة بالمشروع الرياضي السعودي ونجاحه اللافت، فيما أتاح للقراء الصفحات الأربع الأخيرة، وتركها لهم بيضاء ليكتبوا بدورهم عن مبارياتهم، ولاعبيهم، وتشكيلاتهم المفضلة، والمختارة، فيما بشّرت الصفحة الأخيرة بمونديال 2034، الذي سيقام في المملكة، كون كتابه «الحفلة» استشرافاً للغد.
يذكر أن ثابت أصدر مؤلفات عدة، منها الشعري والسردي، وترجمت أعماله ونصوصه إلى لغات العالم.
The writer Abdullah Thabet has released a book titled "The Party... Football, Warming Up Memory and Words," in which the author discusses football from a literary perspective.
This experience, published by Dar Tashkeel, is unprecedented in the personal writing journey of the poet and novelist Thabet, as well as in Saudi and Arab literature, where this type of cultural and literary sports discourse and composition is rare. The author builds his aesthetic reflections on the game itself, with its components, such as the field, the player and his fantasies, the coach, the referee, the sports audience, and the commentator and commentary, considering it a literary genre. He poses the question "Why do we love football?" and answers it in many places throughout the book.
The writer believes that football is one of the few and rare model forms of the remaining struggles of the body, before the invention of machines, screens, and weapons in a reckless moment of history, as he describes it. He points out that the impact of football extends beyond sports to politics, economics, and the arts. He dedicated a poetic and theatrical chapter in the last part of his book, followed by a joyful conclusion about the Saudi sports project and its remarkable success. He provided readers with the last four pages, leaving them blank for them to write about their own matches, players, and favorite and selected formations, while the last page heralded the 2034 World Cup, which will be held in the Kingdom, as his book "The Party" anticipates the future.
It is worth mentioning that Thabet has published several works, including poetry and narrative, and his works and texts have been translated into languages around the world.
