تحت رعاية ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، انطلقت اليوم أعمال مؤتمر الاستثمار الثقافي 2025 في مركز الملك فهد الثقافي بمدينة الرياض، الذي نظمته وزارة الثقافة، بحضور وزير الثقافة الأمير بدر بن عبدالله بن فرحان، ومشاركة أكثر من 150 متحدثًا و1500 مشاركٍ من كبار صناع القرار وقادة الثقافة والاستثمار على مستوى المملكة والعالم.
وأعلن وزير الثقافة في كلمته الافتتاحية قرب انطلاق جامعة الرياض للفنون، التي ستكون حجر الأساس للتعليم الإبداعي والابتكار، لرفد القطاع الثقافي بالمواهب والمبدعين بالشراكة مع أبرز المؤسسات الأكاديمية والثقافية الدولية، مشيرًا إلى أن تأسيس الجامعة الثقافية الجديدة يأتي امتدادًا لدعم القيادة الرشيدة للقطاع، وأن الهدف هو أن تكون الجامعة ضمن قائمة أفضل 50 جامعة دولية متخصصة في الفنون والثقافة، وذلك انطلاقًا من حرص المملكة على بناء القدرات الثقافية التي تعدّ إحدى ركائز خطتها لتطوير قطاعاتها الثقافية.
وقال: «نسعد بانطلاق أعمال أول نسخة من مؤتمر الاستثمار الثقافي، الذي يبحث مستقبل الاستثمار الثقافي، وآفاقه وإمكاناته التنموية»، مبينًا أن القطاع الثقافي السعودي شهد منذ إطلاق رؤية المملكة 2030 نقلة تاريخية قفزت بنسبة مساهمته في الناتج المحلي إلى 1.6%، وارتفع عدد العاملين فيه إلى 234 ألفًا، وبلغت قيمة الدعم المالي المتدفق إليه ما يُقارب ملياري دولار في عام 2024، فيما بلغت استثمارات بنيته التحتية مستويات تاريخية تجاوزت 81 مليار ريال.
وأكد أن القطاع الخاص يأتي بصفته شريكًا إستراتيجيًا في رحلة تطوير القطاع الثقافي السعودي، لافتًا إلى أن المؤتمر يسهم في تعزيز هذه الشراكة الأساسية، وسيشهد توقيع 89 اتفاقية بقيمة 5 مليارات ريال.
ويشهد المؤتمر مشاركة نخبة من الشخصيات البارزة في المجال الثقافي والاستثماري، في مقدمتهم وزير الاستثمار المهندس خالد بن عبدالعزيز الفالح، ووزير الاقتصاد والتخطيط فيصل بن فاضل الإبراهيم، ونائب وزير الثقافة حامد بن محمد فايز، ومساعد وزير الثقافة راكان بن إبراهيم الطوق، والرئيس التنفيذي لدار «سوذبيز» تشارلز ستيوارت، ورئيس مجلس إدارة دار «كريستيز» غيّوم سيروتي، والرئيس التنفيذي لـ«آرت بازل» نواه هوروفيتز، والرئيس غير التنفيذي لـ«سوني بيكتشرز إنترتينمنت» توني فينتشيكويرا، ومؤسس «إيغلز بيكتشرز» طارق بن عمار، ورئيس هيئة «هيستوريك إنجلاند» عميد كلية أورييل بجامعة أوكسفورد اللورد نيل ميندوزا، والمؤسس ورئيس مجلس إدارة مؤسسة «جينيسيس» جون ستودزينسكي.
ويتناول المؤتمر على مدى يومين أكثر من 38 جلسة حوارية وورشة عمل، تتضمن أحدث التوجهات في مجالات الاستثمار الثقافي، واستعراض التجارب الدولية الناجحة في دعم وتمويل الصناعات الإبداعية، إضافة إلى استكشاف الأسواق الناشئة، والقطاعات غير المستغلة، وبحث إستراتيجيات تقليل المخاطر الاستثمارية وتعزيز ثقة المستثمرين.
وتتناول الجلسات موضوعات متنوعة تشمل الذكاء الاصطناعي والتقنيات التفاعلية في تمويل الثقافة، وأهمية العمل الخيري في دعم نمو القطاع، إلى جانب ريادة الأعمال الإبداعية، وصناديق الاستثمار الثقافي العالمية، والشراكات المبتكرة في التمويل العام.
ويأتي انعقاد المؤتمر، للمرة الأولى في المملكة، ليشكل منصة عالمية رائدة تستشرف مستقبل الاستثمار الثقافي، وتعزز دوره في بناء اقتصاد إبداعي مستدام؛ بما يتماشى مع مستهدفات رؤية 2030 المتعلقة بتنويع الاقتصاد الوطني، وترسيخ الهوية الثقافية، وتعزيز مكانة المملكة قوةً مؤثرةً على الساحة الدولية.
ويهدف المؤتمر إلى تقديم الثقافة بوصفها فرصةً استثماريةً جاذبة، من خلال استعراض نماذج تمويل مبتكرة، وبناء شراكات إستراتيجية، وتطوير آليات جديدة تسهم في دعم الصناعات الإبداعية، وتعظيم دور رأس المال الثقافي في تحفيز النمو الاقتصادي العالمي، كما يسلط الضوء على إسهام الاستثمار الثقافي في تمكين المواهب الوطنية، وتعزيز العدالة والشمول، وتوسيع نطاق التأثير الثقافي خارج الحدود الوطنية عبر الدبلوماسية الثقافية.
ومن خلال هذه المحاور، يؤكد مؤتمر الاستثمار الثقافي التزام المملكة بدورها الريادي في قيادة التحولات العالمية في مجال الاقتصاد الإبداعي، وترسيخ الرياض عاصمة دولية للثقافة والاستثمار، بما يعكس رؤيتها الطموحة ومكانتها المتنامية في المشهد الثقافي والاقتصادي العالمي.
Under the patronage of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Cultural Investment Conference 2025 commenced today at the King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh, organized by the Ministry of Culture, with the presence of the Minister of Culture, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, and participation from over 150 speakers and 1,500 participants, including top decision-makers and leaders in culture and investment from across the Kingdom and the world.
In his opening speech, the Minister of Culture announced the imminent launch of the Riyadh University of Arts, which will serve as the cornerstone for creative education and innovation, to enrich the cultural sector with talents and creators in partnership with prominent international academic and cultural institutions. He pointed out that the establishment of the new cultural university comes as an extension of the wise leadership's support for the sector, with the goal of placing the university among the top 50 international universities specializing in arts and culture, reflecting the Kingdom's commitment to building cultural capacities, which are one of the pillars of its plan to develop its cultural sectors.
He stated, "We are pleased to launch the first edition of the Cultural Investment Conference, which explores the future of cultural investment, its horizons, and developmental potentials," noting that the Saudi cultural sector has witnessed a historic leap since the launch of Vision 2030, with its contribution to the GDP rising to 1.6%, the number of workers in the sector increasing to 234,000, and the financial support flowing into it reaching nearly two billion dollars in 2024, while investments in its infrastructure have reached historic levels exceeding 81 billion riyals.
He emphasized that the private sector is a strategic partner in the journey of developing the Saudi cultural sector, pointing out that the conference contributes to strengthening this essential partnership, and will witness the signing of 89 agreements worth 5 billion riyals.
The conference features the participation of a select group of prominent figures in the cultural and investment fields, including Minister of Investment Engineer Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal bin Fadhel Al-Ibrahim, Deputy Minister of Culture Hamid bin Mohammed Fayez, Assistant Minister of Culture Rakan bin Ibrahim Al-Touq, CEO of Sotheby’s Charles Stewart, Chairman of Christie’s Guillaume Cerutti, CEO of Art Basel Noah Horowitz, Non-Executive Chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment Tony Vinciquerra, Founder of Eagles Pictures Tarek Ben Ammar, Chairman of Historic England and Dean of Oriel College at the University of Oxford Lord Neil Mendoza, and Founder and Chairman of the Genesis Foundation John Studzinski.
Over the course of two days, the conference will cover more than 38 panel discussions and workshops, including the latest trends in cultural investment, showcasing successful international experiences in supporting and financing creative industries, as well as exploring emerging markets, untapped sectors, and discussing strategies to reduce investment risks and enhance investor confidence.
The sessions will address various topics including artificial intelligence and interactive technologies in cultural financing, the importance of philanthropy in supporting sector growth, as well as creative entrepreneurship, global cultural investment funds, and innovative partnerships in public financing.
The conference, being held for the first time in the Kingdom, aims to serve as a leading global platform that anticipates the future of cultural investment and enhances its role in building a sustainable creative economy; aligning with the objectives of Vision 2030 related to diversifying the national economy, reinforcing cultural identity, and enhancing the Kingdom's position as an influential power on the international stage.
The conference aims to present culture as an attractive investment opportunity by showcasing innovative financing models, building strategic partnerships, and developing new mechanisms that contribute to supporting creative industries, maximizing the role of cultural capital in stimulating global economic growth.
