كرّمت منظمة الطيران المدني الدولي (الإيكاو) المملكة؛ ممثلةً في رئيس البرنامج التعاوني لأمن الطيران في الشرق الأوسط محمد الفوزان، تقديراً لجهوده في إدارة ورئاسة البرنامج التعاوني لأمن الطيران في الشرق الأوسط (CASP-MID) والإسهام في رفع مستوى قدرات دول الإقليم في مجال أمن الطيران، وذلك بحضور وزير النقل المهندس صالح الجاسر، ورئيس الهيئة العامة للطيران المدني عبدالعزيز الدعيلج.
جاء ذلك خلال مشاركة المملكة؛ ممثلةً بالهيئة العامة للطيران المدني، بوفد رفيع المستوى في أعمال الدورة الـ42 للجمعية العمومية لمنظمة (الإيكاو) المنعقدة في كندا. ويأتي التكريم انعكاساً للدور الريادي للمملكة في دعم برامج المنظمة الأممية والمبادرات الدولية لتعزيز أمن الطيران المدني، وتقديم المساندة للدول الأعضاء بما يضمن «عدم ترك أي دولة خلف الركب». وحقق البرنامج التعاوني (CASP-MID) نجاحات بارزة منذ استضافته في المملكة، إذ شهد نمواً في نشاطاته تجاوز 300%، مع تدريب ما يقارب 2,600 متدرب، وتنفيذ أكثر من 120 نشاطاً متخصصاً، وتقديم خدماته لـ12 دولة إقليمية. وأعرب نائب الرئيس التنفيذي لأمن الطيران رئيس البرنامج محمد الفوزان، خلال التكريم، عن شكره للأمين العام لمنظمة (الإيكاو) خوان كارلوس سالازار . وقال: «إن هذا التقدير الدولي بحصول ممثل المملكة على شهادة أمين عام المنظمة يمثل تتويجاً لتحقيقها أفضل المعايير الدولية المعتمدة من منظمة (الإيكاو) وفقاً للتدقيق الأمني الدوري والرسمي الذي تجريه (الإيكاو) على الدول الأعضاء بالمنظمة».

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) honored the Kingdom, represented by the head of the Cooperative Aviation Security Program in the Middle East, Mohammed Al-Fawzan, in recognition of his efforts in managing and chairing the Cooperative Aviation Security Program in the Middle East (CASP-MID) and contributing to enhancing the capabilities of the countries in the region in the field of aviation security. This was in the presence of the Minister of Transport, Engineer Saleh Al-Jasser, and the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Abdulaziz Al-Duailej.
This recognition came during the Kingdom's participation, represented by the General Authority of Civil Aviation, with a high-level delegation in the 42nd session of the General Assembly of the ICAO held in Canada. The honor reflects the Kingdom's pioneering role in supporting the organization's programs and international initiatives to enhance civil aviation security and providing assistance to member states to ensure that "no country is left behind." The Cooperative Program (CASP-MID) has achieved remarkable successes since it was hosted in the Kingdom, witnessing a growth in its activities exceeding 300%, training nearly 2,600 trainees, implementing more than 120 specialized activities, and providing its services to 12 regional countries. During the recognition, the Vice President of Aviation Security and head of the program, Mohammed Al-Fawzan, expressed his gratitude to the Secretary-General of the ICAO, Juan Carlos Salazar. He stated, "This international recognition of the Kingdom's representative receiving the Secretary-General's certificate represents a culmination of achieving the best international standards approved by the ICAO according to the regular and official security audits conducted by the ICAO on the member states of the organization."
