أعربت وزارة الخارجية عن إدانة المملكة واستنكارها للهجوم الذي تعرض له مسجد حي الدرجة بمدينة الفاشر بتاريخ 19 سبتمبر 2025، الذي أسفر عن مقتل وإصابة العديد من الأشخاص أثناء أدائهم صلاة الفجر بالمسجد في انتهاك صارخ للقانون الدولي الإنساني.
وقالت الوزارة في بيان: «المملكة تؤكد رفضها لهذه الهجمات على المدنيين، وتطالب بالوقف الفوري للحرب في السودان، وتجنيب السودان وشعبه الشقيق المزيد من المعاناة والدمار، وتشدد على ضرورة توفير الحماية للمدنيين، وتنفيذ ما تم التوقيع عليه في إعلان جدة (الالتزام بحماية المدنيين في السودان) بتاريخ 11 مايو 2023، معبرةً عن صادق تعازيها ومواساتها لذوي المتوفين، وتمنياتها للمصابين بالشفاء العاجل».
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom's condemnation and denunciation of the attack on the mosque in the Al-Daraja neighborhood of the city of El Fasher on September 19, 2025, which resulted in the deaths and injuries of many individuals while they were performing the Fajr prayer in the mosque, in a blatant violation of international humanitarian law.
The ministry stated in a statement: "The Kingdom reaffirms its rejection of these attacks on civilians, calls for an immediate cessation of the war in Sudan, and seeks to spare Sudan and its brotherly people further suffering and destruction. It emphasizes the necessity of providing protection for civilians and implementing what was signed in the Jeddah Declaration (commitment to protecting civilians in Sudan) on May 11, 2023, expressing its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the deceased, and wishing the injured a speedy recovery."
