بتوجيه من رئيس جامعة الملك فيصل الدكتور عادل بن محمد أبو زنادة، تسلّم وكيل الجامعة للدراسات العليا والبحث العلمي ورئيس قطاع الابتكار وتنمية الأعمال المكلّف الدكتور عبدالرحمن بن عيسى الليلي، عضوية الجامعة المصنفة كـ«منطقة ابتكار» من المنظمة الدولية لمناطق وواحات الابتكار (IASP)، وذلك ضمن فعاليات المؤتمر العالمي الثاني والأربعين للمنظمة (42nd IASP World Conference on Science Parks and Areas of Innovation)، الذي استضافته العاصمة الصينية بكين خلال الفترة من 15 إلى 19 سبتمبر 2025م.
وأكد وكيل الجامعة للدراسات العليا والبحث العلمي أن المشاركة في هذا المؤتمر الدولي تمثل خطوة مهمة لتعزيز حضور الجامعة في الشبكات العالمية للبحث والابتكار، وفتح آفاق أوسع للتعاون مع المراكز البحثية والابتكارية حول العالم، بما ينسجم مع مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030 في دعم اقتصاد المعرفة وتعزيز موقع المملكة على خارطة الابتكار العالمية.
ويأتي انضمام جامعة الملك فيصل إلى المنظمة الدولية لمناطق وواحات الابتكار (IASP) ليعزز مكانتها كمنصة وطنية رائدة في مجال الابتكار، ويدمجها ضمن شبكة عالمية تضم أبرز مناطق وواحات الابتكار. كما يجسد الدعم الذي توليه مجلس شؤون الجامعات وهيئة تنمية البحث والتطوير والابتكار لتمكين الجامعات السعودية من التحول إلى منصات ريادة ومعرفة، بما يسهم في تعزيز حضور المملكة على خارطة الابتكار العالمية.
Under the guidance of the President of King Faisal University, Dr. Adel bin Mohammed Abu Zanadah, the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research and Acting Head of the Innovation and Business Development Sector, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Issa Al-Laili, received the university's membership classified as an "Innovation Zone" from the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP). This was part of the activities of the 42nd IASP World Conference on Science Parks and Areas of Innovation, held in Beijing, China, from September 15 to 19, 2025.
The Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research affirmed that participation in this international conference represents an important step in enhancing the university's presence in global research and innovation networks, and opening broader horizons for collaboration with research and innovation centers around the world, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in supporting the knowledge economy and enhancing the Kingdom's position on the global innovation map.
The inclusion of King Faisal University in the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP) strengthens its position as a leading national platform in the field of innovation and integrates it into a global network that includes the most prominent innovation zones and parks. It also reflects the support provided by the Council of Universities Affairs and the Authority for Research, Development, and Innovation to empower Saudi universities to transform into platforms of leadership and knowledge, contributing to enhancing the Kingdom's presence on the global innovation map.
