A joint statement was issued regarding the state visit of the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The text is as follows:

In response to a gracious invitation from the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, made a state visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on 25/3/1447 AH, corresponding to 17/9/2025.

The Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, welcomed the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh, where they held an official discussion session in the presence of delegations from both countries. At the beginning of the discussions, the Pakistani Prime Minister conveyed his greetings and best wishes to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and both sides reviewed the historical and strategic relations between the two countries, as well as a number of topics of mutual interest.

Building on the historical partnership that has lasted for nearly eight decades between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and based on the bonds of brotherhood and Islamic solidarity, as well as mutual strategic interests and close defense cooperation between the two countries, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, signed the "Joint Strategic Defense Agreement." This agreement comes as part of the two countries' efforts to enhance their security and achieve peace and stability in the region and the world. It aims to develop aspects of defense cooperation between the two countries and strengthen mutual deterrence against any aggression, stipulating that any aggression against either country is considered aggression against both.

The Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for the warm reception and generous hospitality he and his accompanying delegation received. He also extended his best wishes to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, and the brotherly Saudi people for further progress, prosperity, and welfare. The Crown Prince also expressed his best wishes for good health and wellness to the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, and continued progress and advancement for the brotherly people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
