زار نائب الأمين العام للشؤون السياسية بوزارة الدفاع الماليزية محمد ياني بن داود، والوفد المرافق له اليوم، مقر التحالف الإسلامي العسكري لمحاربة الإرهاب، وكان في استقباله الأمين العام للتحالف الإسلامي اللواء الطيار الركن محمد بن سعيد المغيدي.
وجرى خلال اللقاء، بحث عدد من الموضوعات ذات الاهتمام المشترك، وفي مقدمتها سُبل تعزيز التعاون بين التحالف الإسلامي ووزارة الدفاع الماليزية، وتبادل الخبرات في محاربة الإرهاب والتطرف، إضافة إلى مناقشة آفاق تطوير المبادرات والبرامج التدريبية المشتركة.
وأشاد نائب الأمين العام للشؤون السياسية بوزارة الدفاع الماليزية بالدور الريادي الذي يضطلع به التحالف في تنسيق وتوحيد جهود الدول الأعضاء لمواجهة التحديات الأمنية والفكرية المرتبطة بالإرهاب، مؤكدًا حرص بلاده على تعزيز التعاون مع التحالف.
من جانبه، رحّب الأمين العام بالوفد الماليزي، مشيدًا بمشاركة ماليزيا الفاعلة في أنشطة ومبادرات التحالف، ومؤكدًا أن هذه الزيارة تمثل خطوة مهمة نحو تعميق الشراكة وتبادل التجارب بما يخدم الأمن والسلم الدوليين.
واختُتم اللقاء بجولة تعريفية داخل مقر التحالف، اطلع خلالها الوفد على جهود التحالف في مجالات الفكر والإعلام ومحاربة تمويل الإرهاب والمجال العسكري، إضافة إلى استعراض المبادرات الإستراتيجية والبرامج التدريبية التي ينفذها التحالف لدعم الدول الأعضاء.
The Deputy Secretary-General for Political Affairs at the Malaysian Ministry of Defense, Mohd Yani bin Daud, and his accompanying delegation visited today the headquarters of the Islamic Military Alliance to Fight Terrorism, where they were received by the Secretary-General of the Islamic Alliance, Major General Pilot Rakan Mohammed bin Said Al-Muqaydi.
During the meeting, several topics of mutual interest were discussed, primarily ways to enhance cooperation between the Islamic Alliance and the Malaysian Ministry of Defense, as well as exchanging experiences in combating terrorism and extremism, in addition to discussing prospects for developing joint initiatives and training programs.
The Deputy Secretary-General for Political Affairs at the Malaysian Ministry of Defense praised the pioneering role played by the alliance in coordinating and unifying the efforts of member states to face the security and ideological challenges related to terrorism, affirming his country's commitment to strengthening cooperation with the alliance.
For his part, the Secretary-General welcomed the Malaysian delegation, commending Malaysia's active participation in the alliance's activities and initiatives, and emphasizing that this visit represents an important step towards deepening the partnership and exchanging experiences in a way that serves international peace and security.
The meeting concluded with an introductory tour inside the alliance's headquarters, during which the delegation was briefed on the alliance's efforts in the fields of thought, media, combating the financing of terrorism, and military affairs, in addition to reviewing the strategic initiatives and training programs implemented by the alliance to support member states.
