The Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations, Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Wasel, affirmed that the adoption of the General Assembly's resolution on the two-state solution represents an important step towards reaffirming the centrality of the Palestinian issue and the shared responsibility of the international community in ending the suffering of the Palestinian people, and finding a just and comprehensive solution that leads to the establishment of a Palestinian state in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.

Dr. Al-Wasel expressed the Kingdom's steadfast commitment to continue working with international partners to support all efforts aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace, and ensuring the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, which contributes to enhancing security and stability in the region and the world. This is in light of the generous directives from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, with the follow-up and supervision of Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, to harness the Kingdom's efforts, relations, and communications to support our brothers in Palestine and to achieve the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with its capital in Jerusalem.
