Today (Sunday) and tomorrow (Monday), international experts in judicial and legal training are meeting in Riyadh to discuss important topics related to judges, the public prosecution, lawyers, researchers, trainers, and professionals working in judicial and legal affairs. This is part of the activities of the Second International Conference on Judicial Training organized by the Ministry of Justice, represented by the Judicial Training Center, under the slogan: "Judicial Training... Innovation in Tools and Methodologies." The organizers have allowed anyone interested to attend the conference without the need for prior registration or an invitation.

Experts, judges, members of the prosecution, deans of law colleges and institutes, heads of specialized companies, and officials from judicial ministries from Saudi Arabia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, Belgium, Lithuania, Brazil, Argentina, Denmark, Italy, Australia, in addition to Oman, Egypt, Lebanon, and Morocco are participating in the forum.

Specialists and participants have considered the Second International Conference on Judicial Training a unique opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences among judges, lawyers, and international experts, which directly contributes to raising the professional competence of those working in the legal and judicial field in Saudi Arabia and abroad.

Today, the speakers of the first workshop titled "The Role of Scientific Research and Innovation in Developing Judicial Training Strategies" will include Mira Gor Ai, Director of the International Office - Federal Judicial Center - United States, Martin Lee Camp, Assistant Dean for International Studies and Programs at the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University - United States, and Krystobal Diaz, Assistant Director for International Programs at the Polish Judicial Institute at Duke University - United States.

The speakers of the first dialogue session today will discuss "Excellence in Judicial Training: Innovation in Tools and Methodologies," featuring Dr. Mohammed Al-Shalafan, General Director of the Judicial Training Center - Saudi Arabia, Raf Van Ransbeek, Director of the Judicial Institute - Belgium, Eric Bepterson, Director of Development, Assistance, and Training for Foreign Prosecutors at the Department of Justice - United States, and Clara Carola Terikabras, Acting Director at the Judicial College - Spain. The session will be moderated by Martin Lee Camp, Assistant Dean for International Studies and Programs at the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University - United States.

This morning, the speakers of the second workshop will hold a session titled "Trends and Modern Methods for Measuring the Impact of Training Programs on the Judicial System," featuring Dr. Nabhan Al-Maawali, Dean of the Higher Institute of Justice - Oman, Dr. Ingrida Elgauskiene, Project Manager in a Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Independent Legal Expert - Lithuania, and Vanist Alzati, Owner and CEO of a company - United States.

The speakers of the third workshop will discuss "Modern Methods and Techniques for Excellence in Judicial Training" this afternoon, featuring Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Mubarrad, Assistant General Director for Training and Qualification at the Judicial Training Center - Saudi Arabia, Luis Maria Palma, Vice President of the International Institute for Excellence in Justice and Former President of the International Association for Court Administration - Argentina, and Fabrizio Da Cruz, Judge at the Regional Federal Court for the Fourth District and Professor of Law - Brazil.

Then, the speakers of the fourth workshop will present a file titled "The Future of Judicial Training Using Artificial Intelligence Tools," featuring Mohamed Samir Marai, Senior Judge at the Office of the Minister of Justice assigned to the National Center for Judicial Studies in the Arab Republic of Egypt, Christopher Salgado, CEO of a company - United States, and Ulrik Christensen, CEO of a company - Denmark.

The conference aims to exchange experiences and showcase the latest international practices in judicial training. Participants will discuss the use of artificial intelligence in the training process, as well as the development of specialized programs for judges and lawyers, and modern trends for measuring the impact of training programs on the judicial system. The conference brings together a select group of 32 speakers and international experts from 16 countries, and the conference program includes 9 workshops and 3 dialogue sessions to discuss specialized issues. This conference follows the first edition held last year, which involved more than 600 specialists and 45 international experts, as part of the Ministry of Justice's efforts to enhance judicial quality and improve legal training and qualification according to the best global practices.
