تسلّم النائب العام الشيخ سعود بن عبدالله المعجب علم الاستضافة للدورة الـ31 من مؤتمر الرابطة الدولية للمدعين العامين 2026م، من النائب العام لجمهورية سنغافورة لوسيان وونغ، وذلك على هامش أعمال المؤتمر الـ30 المنعقد في سنغافورة.
وبهذه المناسبة ألقى المعجب كلمة أكد فيها أن المملكة، وامتداداً لتوجهها الذي يجمع بين الأصالة والحداثة والعدالة والمسؤولية، ستتشرف باستضافة المؤتمر في العاصمة الرياض خلال شهر نوفمبر من عام 2026م، تحت عنوان:
«نظام العدالة الجنائية في عصر الذكاء الاصطناعي: الفرص، التحديات، والتطبيقات العالمية».
وأشار النائب العام إلى أن هذه الاستضافة تجسّد ما توليه المملكة بقيادة خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، وولي العهد الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز -حفظهما الله- من اهتمام بتطوير مؤسسات العدالة، وترسيخ قيم سيادة القانون، وحماية الحقوق، وصون الضمانات، وتعزيز التعاون الدولي.
وأضاف أن استضافة هذا الحدث الدولي تمثّل فرصة رفيعة لتبادل الخبرات، واستعراض التجارب، واستشراف مستقبل العدالة في ظل التحول التقني، بما يسهم في صياغة نماذج أكثر عدالة وإنصافاً، مؤكداً تطلعه للقاء المشاركين في العاصمة الرياض في لقاء مهني يجمع تحت مظلة العدالة، ويعزز قيم التعاون، ويدعم مسيرة الادعاء العام على المستويين الإقليمي والدولي.
يُذكر أن النيابة العامة السعودية كانت قد تقدمت بملف استضافة المؤتمر، وتمكنت من حصد أغلبية أصوات اللجنة التنفيذية للرابطة من مختلف أجهزة النيابات العامة وهيئات الادعاء في العالم. وتعد رابطة المدعين العامين أكبر تجمع للنيابات العامة عالمياً، إذ تضم أكثر من 170 جهازاً عدليّاً ومنظمة دولية معنية بالعدالة الجزائية، وتركز في أعمالها على رسم السياسات، وتعزيز التعاون الدولي في مجالات العدالة الجنائية ومكافحة الجريمة، وتنمية قدرات أجهزة النيابات والادعاء، مع مراعاة حقوق الإنسان في سياق الدعوى الجنائية.
The Attorney General, Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al-Muajab, received the hosting flag for the 31st session of the International Association of Prosecutors Conference 2026 from the Attorney General of the Republic of Singapore, Lucian Wong, on the sidelines of the 30th conference held in Singapore.
On this occasion, Al-Muajab delivered a speech in which he affirmed that the Kingdom, continuing its approach that combines authenticity, modernity, justice, and responsibility, will be honored to host the conference in the capital, Riyadh, in November 2026, under the title:
“The Criminal Justice System in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities, Challenges, and Global Applications.”
The Attorney General pointed out that this hosting embodies the attention that the Kingdom, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz - may Allah protect them - gives to the development of justice institutions, the establishment of the rule of law, the protection of rights, the safeguarding of guarantees, and the enhancement of international cooperation.
He added that hosting this international event represents a distinguished opportunity for exchanging experiences, showcasing practices, and envisioning the future of justice in light of technological transformation, contributing to the formulation of more just and equitable models. He expressed his eagerness to meet the participants in the capital, Riyadh, in a professional gathering under the umbrella of justice, which enhances values of cooperation and supports the public prosecution's journey at both regional and international levels.
It is noteworthy that the Saudi Public Prosecution had submitted a bid to host the conference and managed to secure the majority of votes from the executive committee of the association from various public prosecution agencies and prosecution authorities worldwide. The Association of Prosecutors is the largest gathering of public prosecutions globally, comprising more than 170 judicial bodies and international organizations concerned with criminal justice, focusing on policy formulation, enhancing international cooperation in criminal justice and crime prevention, and developing the capacities of prosecution and public prosecution agencies, while considering human rights in the context of criminal proceedings.
