أكَّدت الهيئة العامة للطرق، أن كود الطرق السعودي اعتمد مجموعة من الاشتراطات التنظيمية والفنية التي تستهدف رفع مستويات السلامة المرورية في مواقع الأعمال على الطرق، بما يُسهم في حماية مستخدمي الطريق، وضمان انسيابية الحركة خلال تنفيذ المشاريع.
خطة مرور وحواجز وإضاءة لتأمين مواقع الأعمال
وتشمل الاشتراطات إعداد خطة مرور معتمدة من الجهة المختصة لتنظيم الدخول والخروج خلال جميع مراحل المشروع، إضافة إلى وضع حواجز آمنة تفصل بين مناطق العمل ومستخدمي الطريق، وتوفير إضاءة كافية تضمن وضوح الرؤية في مواقع العمل الليلية، إلى جانب اتخاذ تدابير خاصة لحماية المشاة وكبار السن والأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة.
واشترط الكود تثبيت لوحات إرشادية مؤقّتة توضّح أي تغيير في المسارات أو السرعات، مع توفير طرق بديلة آمنة عند إغلاق الطريق أو تقليل عدد المسارات؛ لضمان استمرار الحركة المرورية بأعلى درجات السلامة.
معايير موحدة لتقليل الحوادث ورفع جودة الطرق
ويأتي ذلك امتدادًا لجهود الهيئة في تطوير معايير موحدة لجميع شبكات الطرق في المملكة، ورفع مستوى السلامة والجودة، تحقيقًا لمستهدفات برنامج قطاع الطرق بالوصول إلى المؤشر السادس عالميًا في مؤشر جودة الطرق بحلول عام 2030، وخفض معدل الوفيات على الطرق لأقل من خمس حالات لكل 100 ألف نسمة.
The General Authority for Roads confirmed that the Saudi Road Code has adopted a set of regulatory and technical requirements aimed at raising traffic safety levels at work sites on roads, contributing to the protection of road users and ensuring smooth traffic flow during project implementation.
Traffic Plan, Barriers, and Lighting to Secure Work Sites
The requirements include preparing an approved traffic plan from the relevant authority to organize entry and exit during all phases of the project, in addition to placing safe barriers that separate work areas from road users, and providing adequate lighting to ensure visibility at night work sites, along with taking special measures to protect pedestrians, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.
The code requires the installation of temporary signage that clarifies any changes in routes or speeds, along with providing safe alternative routes when closing roads or reducing the number of lanes; to ensure the continuity of traffic flow with the highest levels of safety.
Unified Standards to Reduce Accidents and Improve Road Quality
This comes as an extension of the Authority's efforts to develop unified standards for all road networks in the Kingdom, enhancing safety and quality, in line with the objectives of the Road Sector Program to reach the sixth global indicator in the Road Quality Index by 2030, and to reduce the road fatality rate to less than five cases per 100,000 people.
