سجّل بنك الدم في مستشفى الملك فهد الجامعي بالخبر، التابع لجامعة الإمام عبدالرحمن بن فيصل، 4,664 متبرعاً بالدم خلال الأشهر الستة الماضية من هذا العام، في مؤشر يعكس الوعي المجتمعي المتزايد بأهمية التبرع بالدم ودوره الإنساني في إنقاذ الأرواح، وتعزيز ثقافة العطاء والتكافل داخل المجتمع.
وتجاوباً مع الحملة الوطنية (اقتداء وعطاء)، بلغ عدد المتقدمين للتبرع 452 شخصاً، فيما وصل عدد المتبرعين الفعليين إلى 400 متبرع، وذلك خلال الفترة من 24 أغسطس وحتى 4 سبتمبر 2025م، بنسبة بلغت 88.50%.
وفي هذا السياق، أوضحت مديرة إدارة بنك الدم بالمستشفى الدكتورة عواطف النافع، أن إجمالي عدد المسجلين خلال الأشهر الستة الماضية من هذا العام بلغ 4,664 شخصاً، منهم 3,861 رجلاً و803 سيدات، في حين وصل عدد المتبرعين الفعليين إلى 4,191 متبرعاً، توزعوا بين 3,371 رجلاً و820 سيدة، ما يعكس استجابة فاعلة من مختلف فئات المجتمع، خصوصاً في أوقات الحاجة الطارئة للمشتقات الدموية.
3,115 متبرعاً سعودياً وغير السعوديين 1,549
وأضافت الدكتورة النافع أن عدد المتبرعين السعوديين بلغ 3,115 متبرعًا، فيما سجّل 1,549 غير سعودي رغبتهم في المشاركة بهذا العمل الإنساني، الأمر الذي يعكس الطابع الشمولي والإقبال الواسع من مختلف الجنسيات، مؤكدة أهمية تعزيز حملات التبرع بالدم وتهيئة بيئة مستدامة ومحفزة لتلبية حاجات المستشفى وبنوك الدم في المنطقة.
وأشارت إلى حرص بنك الدم في المستشفى على تطبيق أعلى معايير الجودة والسلامة في جميع إجراءات التبرع، إلى جانب نشر الوعي من خلال الحملات التوعوية والبرامج التثقيفية، بالتعاون مع مختلف الجهات داخل الجامعة وخارجها.
ويأتي ذلك ضمن ما توليه جامعة الإمام عبدالرحمن بن فيصل من اهتمام بالمسؤولية المجتمعية والارتقاء بالخدمات الصحية المقدمة للمجتمع، إذ يُعد بنك الدم بالمستشفى الجامعي أحد المرافق الحيوية التي تسهم بشكل مباشر في دعم العمليات الجراحية، والحالات الطارئة، ومرضى الأورام وأمراض الدم.
التبرع بالدم عنوان للتكافل الإنساني
واختتمت الدكتورة النافع حديثها بالشكر لفريق العمل على جهودهم الطبية والتنظيمية في إنقاذ الأرواح، مؤكدة أن توفير إمدادات الدم بشكل مستمر لا يتحقق إلا بفضل المتبرعين طوعاً ومن دون مقابل، كما دعت أفراد المجتمع إلى الاستمرار في التبرع بالدم بشكل دوري، مشيرةً إلى أن التبرع بالدم لا يُنقذ حياة مريض واحد فحسب، بل أسرة بأكملها، وهو عنوان للتكافل الإنساني وركيزة أساسية لتعزيز الأمن الصحي الوطني.
ويستقبل بنك الدم المتبرعين يوميّاً من الأحد إلى الخميس، من الساعة الـ7:00 صباحًا وحتى الـ3:00 مساءً.
The blood bank at King Fahd University Hospital in Khobar, affiliated with Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, registered 4,664 blood donors during the past six months of this year, reflecting the increasing community awareness of the importance of blood donation and its humanitarian role in saving lives, as well as promoting a culture of giving and solidarity within the community.
In response to the national campaign (Imitation and Giving), the number of applicants for donation reached 452 individuals, while the number of actual donors reached 400, during the period from August 24 to September 4, 2025, with a participation rate of 88.50%.
In this context, Dr. Awatif Al-Nafea, Director of the Blood Bank at the hospital, explained that the total number of registered individuals during the past six months of this year reached 4,664 people, including 3,861 men and 803 women, while the number of actual donors reached 4,191, distributed between 3,371 men and 820 women, reflecting an effective response from various segments of the community, especially in times of urgent need for blood products.
3,115 Saudi donors and 1,549 non-Saudis
Dr. Al-Nafea added that the number of Saudi donors reached 3,115, while 1,549 non-Saudis expressed their desire to participate in this humanitarian work, which reflects the inclusive nature and wide participation from various nationalities, emphasizing the importance of enhancing blood donation campaigns and creating a sustainable and motivating environment to meet the needs of the hospital and blood banks in the region.
She pointed out that the blood bank at the hospital is keen to apply the highest standards of quality and safety in all donation procedures, in addition to raising awareness through awareness campaigns and educational programs, in cooperation with various entities inside and outside the university.
This is part of what Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University prioritizes in terms of social responsibility and improving the health services provided to the community, as the blood bank at the university hospital is one of the vital facilities that directly contribute to supporting surgical operations, emergency cases, and patients with tumors and blood diseases.
Blood donation is a symbol of human solidarity
Dr. Al-Nafea concluded her remarks by thanking the team for their medical and organizational efforts in saving lives, emphasizing that providing a continuous supply of blood can only be achieved thanks to voluntary donors without compensation. She also urged community members to continue donating blood regularly, noting that blood donation not only saves one patient's life but an entire family, and it is a symbol of human solidarity and a fundamental pillar for enhancing national health security.
The blood bank welcomes donors daily from Sunday to Thursday, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
