وزير العدل: تعزيز الأصول المهنية في التقاضي ركيزة أساسية لجودة المخرجات

The Minister of Justice and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Bar Association, Dr. Walid bin Mohammed Al-Samaani, during his visit to the association today and his meeting with a number of male and female lawyers, emphasized that adherence to professional principles in litigation represents a fundamental pillar in the smooth conduct of procedures and the quality of judicial outputs.

He expressed his highest gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for the generous support and significant attention the judicial sector receives, including the Cabinet's approval of amendments to some articles of the organization of the Saudi Bar Association, which enhances the development of the legal profession and elevates its performance.

The Minister of Justice stressed the necessity of adhering to the rules of professional conduct in the relationship between the lawyer and their client, the media, and the public, indicating that any violation of these rules negatively affects the professional image and public trust, while also affirming that the association will work to establish institutionalism in all its practices.

Al-Samaani also pointed out the Ministry of Justice's commitment, in partnership with the Saudi Bar Association, to implement a package of quality projects, the most prominent of which includes supporting alliances of law firms and developing their institutional structure to compete regionally and globally, in addition to empowering newly licensed lawyers and giving them priority in support and qualification programs.

Additionally, some important topics were discussed, including amendments to the executive regulations of the Law Practice System, enabling trainees through specialized law diplomas such as the Higher Diploma in Criminal Law and the Higher Diploma in Civil Law, along with reviewing the association's achievements during the past period, its current and future projects, and the completion rates achieved therein.
