شددت الهيئة العامة لتنظيم الإعلام على أن الالتزام بالتصنيف العمري للألعاب الإلكترونية يمثل واجباً نظامياً وضرورة مجتمعية لضمان بيئة رقمية آمنة تحمي الأطفال والمراهقين من المحتوى غير المناسب.
وأكدت الهيئة في بيان (حصلت «عكاظ» على نسخة منه) أن التصنيف أُقرّ لحماية الفكر والسلوك وتوجيه الاستخدام الآمن للمحتوى، مشيرة إلى أن وعي الأسرة يمثل خط الدفاع الأول في مواجهة المخاطر الرقمية، من بينها التنمّر والاستدراج ونشر الأفكار الضارة.
وبيّنت أنها ستواصل دورها الرقابي والتنظيمي، وأن أي مخالفات في التصنيف العمري ستخضع للإجراءات النظامية المعتمدة بما يضمن حماية النشء ودعم الاستخدام المسؤول للتقنية والمحتوى الرقمي.
من جانبه أوضح مدير برامج الأسرة بجمعية المودة للتنمية الأسرية محمد الناشري لـ «عكاظ» أن تمكين الوالدين من متابعة أبنائهم وتثقيفهم رقمياً يمثل الحصن الأول لحمايتهم من المخاطر الناتجة عن الألعاب الإلكترونية.
وقال: إن الجمعية تقدم عبر «منصة العائلة» برامج تدريبية مجانية تشمل الوقاية من المحتوى غير اللائق، والتحرش والتنمر الإلكتروني، إلى جانب خدمات إرشادية وعلاجية تعالج الآثار النفسية والسلوكية الناتجة عن الاستخدام المفرط للتقنية، بما يعزز استقرار الأسرة ويتسق مع مستهدفات رؤية 2030.
في غضون ذلك اعتبر الخبير التقني عبدالمحسن الجعيثن أن إعلان الهيئة بشأن الالتزام بالتصنيف العمري، يعد خطوة مهمة لبناء بيئة رقمية آمنة. وأشار إلى أن الذكاء الاصطناعي قادر على تقديم حلول مباشرة في هذا المجال، مثل بناء أدوات رقابة أبوية ذكية تكشف محاولات التنمر أو الاستدراج داخل الألعاب بشكل لحظي.
وأوضح أن تقنيات معالجة اللغة الطبيعية والتعلم العميق أصبحت واقعاً يمكن توظيفه لحماية الأطفال والمراهقين عبر تنبيهات مبكرة تعزز دور الأسرة، مضيفاً أن الجمع بين وعي الأسرة والأدوات التقنية المتقدمة يخلق منظومة حماية فعالة تتماشى مع توجهات رؤية 2030.
ورأى الجعيثن أن الالتزام بالتصنيف العمري ليس مجرد إجراء تنظيمي، بل استثمار في أجيال أكثر وعياً ومسؤولية، قادرة على تحويل التقنية من مصدر للمخاطر إلى أداة للإبداع وتحقيق الطموحات.
The General Authority for Media Regulation emphasized that adherence to the age classification of electronic games is a regulatory duty and a societal necessity to ensure a safe digital environment that protects children and adolescents from inappropriate content.
The authority confirmed in a statement (which "Okaz" obtained a copy of) that the classification was approved to protect thought and behavior and to guide the safe use of content, noting that family awareness represents the first line of defense against digital risks, including bullying, grooming, and the spread of harmful ideas.
It indicated that it will continue its regulatory and supervisory role, and that any violations of the age classification will be subject to the approved regulatory procedures to ensure the protection of youth and support responsible use of technology and digital content.
For his part, the Director of Family Programs at Al-Mawadda Association for Family Development, Mohammed Al-Nashri, explained to "Okaz" that empowering parents to monitor their children and educate them digitally represents the first fortress to protect them from the risks arising from electronic games.
He said that the association offers through the "Family Platform" free training programs that include prevention from inappropriate content, harassment, and cyberbullying, in addition to guidance and therapeutic services that address the psychological and behavioral effects resulting from excessive use of technology, which enhances family stability and aligns with the objectives of Vision 2030.
Meanwhile, technical expert Abdul Mohsen Al-Jaithen considered the authority's announcement regarding adherence to age classification an important step in building a safe digital environment. He pointed out that artificial intelligence is capable of providing immediate solutions in this field, such as building smart parental control tools that detect bullying or grooming attempts within games in real-time.
He explained that natural language processing and deep learning technologies have become a reality that can be employed to protect children and adolescents through early alerts that enhance the role of the family, adding that combining family awareness with advanced technical tools creates an effective protection system that aligns with the directions of Vision 2030.
Al-Jaithen viewed that adherence to age classification is not just a regulatory procedure, but an investment in more aware and responsible generations capable of transforming technology from a source of risks into a tool for creativity and achieving aspirations.
