The Municipality of Buqayq Governorate has carried out a number of general cleanliness campaigns, which included main streets, residential neighborhoods, and parks, while the municipality continues its efforts to enhance the quality of life. These efforts are part of its daily initiatives to eliminate visual distortions and improve the urban landscape by removing waste and debris, and enhancing urban aesthetics and environmental sanitation efforts.

For his part, the Mayor of Buqayq Governorate, Engineer Mohammed bin Iftan Al-Dhafiri, explained that the municipality's work in addressing visual distortions and improving the urban landscape during the past month of August included the removal of 11,540 tons of household and solid waste and 3,155 tons of rubble, in addition to the removal of 170 square meters of graffiti that distorted the overall appearance. The work also included replacing, maintaining, and sanitizing more than 6,000 waste containers.

Engineer Al-Dhafiri noted the continuation of efforts to address visual distortions, calling on everyone to cooperate with the municipality by not throwing waste in all its forms and placing it in designated areas, so that everyone can enjoy a healthy environment free from pollutants, and to achieve the desired goal of these campaigns and others, along with increasing awareness among all about the importance of cleanliness, and reporting violators through the reporting center 940.
