أغلقت السيول والأمطار التي هطلت مساء أمس الطرق المؤدية إلى جبل المعادي وطريق المعادي القديم ونيد مغدان وضحي المبان في محافظة هروب بجازان. وشهدت تلك الطرق انهيارات صخرية وتراكم كميات من الأحجار في الطرق والممرات غير المعبدة، فيما أغلق عمود كهرباء طريق جبل المعادي بعد أن سقط وسط الطريق.
وقال عدد من سكان تلك القرى إن السيول منعتهم من الدخول والخروج إلى قراهم طيلة أيام الأمطار التي استمرّت اسبوعاً كاملاً، فيما شلمت المعاناة طلاب وطالبات المدارس والمعلمين، وطالب السكان بفتح الطرق وإيجاد حلول عاجلة لمعاناتهم.
The floods and rain that fell yesterday evening closed the roads leading to Jabal Al-Maadi, the old Maadi road, Nid Magdan, and the buildings in the Haroub district of Jazan. These roads witnessed rockslides and the accumulation of stones on unpaved paths, while an electricity pole on the Jabal Al-Maadi road fell in the middle of the road.
A number of residents from those villages said that the floods prevented them from entering and exiting their villages throughout the days of rain, which lasted a full week. The suffering also affected school students, teachers, and residents, who called for the roads to be opened and for urgent solutions to their plight.
