SDAIA has launched a package of educational materials targeting students, teachers, and educational staff, aimed at enhancing their awareness of the latest artificial intelligence tools and enabling them to benefit from these tools in supporting the educational process and developing their cognitive and technical skills. This initiative coincides with the current academic year and is part of its participation in the national campaign launched by the Ministry of Education on the occasion of the return to school.
The campaign, which was launched through SDAIA's social media networks, focuses on raising awareness among students, teachers, and educational administrative staff about using artificial intelligence technologies in their daily educational practices by highlighting and employing digital tools to develop cognitive and technical skills. This contributes to the development of modern teaching methods and supports the establishment of a knowledge-based community capable of competing globally, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
This step supports the integration of the new artificial intelligence curriculum across all stages of general education, which was announced by the National Center for Curriculum Development in partnership with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). The curriculum includes study units that consider the characteristics of different age stages and are presented through interactive and practical methods, with mechanisms for cognitive linkage between stages to ensure the accumulation and gradual building of skills.
In this context, the "Smai" initiative launched by SDAIA in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development aims to support students and enhance their capabilities in parallel with the integration of the new artificial intelligence curriculum. It targets empowering one million Saudi men and women from various age and professional categories in the field of artificial intelligence, contributing to the qualification of a generation that is knowledgeable and technically capable of meeting future demands.
