أعربت وزارة الخارجية عن إدانة المملكة العربية السعودية واستنكارها استهداف 3 شاحنات تابعة لبرنامج الأغذية العالمي في جمهورية السودان، مجددةً رفضها القاطع لكل ما يهدد أمن وسلامة المدنيين والعاملين في الإغاثة والأعمال الإنسانية.
وقالت الوزارة في بيان: «المملكة تطالب جميع الأطراف السودانية بالالتزام بما وُقع عليه في إعلان جدة بتاريخ 11 مايو 2023م ومنه الالتزام بحماية المدنيين وضمان أمن ممرات المساعدات الإغاثية والإنسانية، وتشدد على أهمية تغليب مصلحة الشعب السوداني الشقيق وتجنيبه ويلات الحرب والصراعات الداخلية».
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's condemnation and denunciation of the targeting of 3 trucks belonging to the World Food Program in the Republic of Sudan, reiterating its firm rejection of anything that threatens the safety and security of civilians and humanitarian workers.
The ministry stated in a statement: "The Kingdom calls on all Sudanese parties to adhere to what was agreed upon in the Jeddah Declaration dated May 11, 2023, including the commitment to protect civilians and ensure the security of humanitarian aid corridors, and emphasizes the importance of prioritizing the interests of the brotherly Sudanese people and shielding them from the ravages of war and internal conflicts."
