أعلن المركز الوطني للأرصاد فرض غرامات مالية تجاوزت قيمتها 150 ألف ريال على عدد من الأفراد، بعد ثبوت نشرهم معلومات أرصادية غير نظامية مخالفة لاشتراطات نظام الأرصاد.
وأوضح المتحدث باسم المركز حسين القحطاني، أن الإجراءات تأتي في إطار تطبيق نظام الأرصاد، واستناداً إلى المادة (9) من اللائحة التنفيذية، التي تحظر ممارسة أي نشاط أو عمل يتعلق بالأرصاد الجوية دون الحصول على تصريح أو ترخيص رسمي من المركز.
وأضاف أن العقوبات المالية لم تشمل جميع المخالفات التي تم رصدها، إذ تم الاكتفاء بأخذ تعهدات خطية من بعضهم بعدم تكرار المخالفة، وذلك تأكيداً على حرص المركز على رفع مستوى الوعي والالتزام بأحكام النظام، مشيراً إلى أن الهدف من هذه الإجراءات ليس فرض العقوبات بحد ذاتها، بل ضمان موثوقية المعلومات الأرصادية وحماية سلامة المجتمع.

The National Center of Meteorology announced the imposition of financial fines exceeding 150,000 riyals on a number of individuals, after it was confirmed that they published unauthorized meteorological information in violation of the meteorological regulations.
The spokesperson for the center, Hussein Al-Qahtani, explained that the measures are part of the implementation of the meteorological system, based on Article (9) of the executive regulations, which prohibits engaging in any activity or work related to meteorology without obtaining an official permit or license from the center.
He added that the financial penalties did not cover all the violations that were recorded, as some individuals were only required to provide written commitments not to repeat the violation, emphasizing the center's commitment to raising awareness and adherence to the provisions of the system. He pointed out that the goal of these measures is not to impose penalties per se, but to ensure the reliability of meteorological information and protect community safety.
