The International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) described the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants' (SOCPA) provision of the "Sukba Fellowship" for professionals around the world as a fundamental transformation in the accounting profession at the international level, reflecting the status of the Saudi accounting sector in leading professional development and enhancing economic capabilities.

IFAC stated that the "Global Sukba Fellowship" initiative represents a strategic tool for increasing the number of qualified accountants capable of contributing to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. It also provides a pioneering model for professional organizations worldwide in enhancing cooperation and professional mobility, embodying an innovative future vision that aligns with the best international practices.

It added that the Saudi experience serves as an inspiring model for international professional bodies on how to balance maintaining strict professional standards on one hand, and expanding the membership base and attracting global talents on the other, thereby enhancing the Kingdom's position as a regional and international center for accounting and auditing.

It noted that the benefits of this step extend beyond the accounting profession to broader economic dimensions, as expanding the base of competent accountants contributes to increasing investor confidence, supporting the effectiveness of financial markets, enhancing governance and transparency systems, enabling companies to grow and attract investments, and aligning with international standards and future transformations. Additionally, it strengthens innovation capabilities and responsiveness to transformations and sustainability requirements, emphasizing that this step aligns with the global nature of the profession, which is based on standards prepared internationally and applied locally in areas such as financial reporting, auditing, professional ethics, and sustainability standards. It affirmed that the initiative by the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants has established a new standard for a developed and globally open professional organization, calling on all professional organizations to benefit from the "Sukba" initiative to make the accounting profession worldwide stronger, more interconnected, and better prepared to serve local, regional, and global economies and markets.
