أطلق كرنفال بريدة للتمور مبادرة نوعية تحت مسمى «دبلوماسية التمور»، كأول برنامج دبلوماسي عالمي في مجال التمور؛ يهدف إلى تعزيز أواصر التعاون الدولي والتعريف بجهود المملكة في دعم قطاع النخلة والتمور، انطلاقًا من منطقة القصيم.
ويستهدف البرنامج؛ تعريف السفراء والبعثات الدبلوماسية بفعاليات الكرنفال وما يقدمه من أنشطة اقتصادية وثقافية وتراثية مرتبطة بالتمور، إضافة إلى توثيق العلاقات بين الدول الأعضاء في المجلس الدولي للتمور، مما يسهم في جعل التمور أداة للتواصل الحضاري والدعم الثقافي والاقتصادي بين الشعوب.
وتشارك في تنفيذ المبادرة كل من إمارة منطقة القصيم، ووزارة الخارجية، والمركز الوطني للنخيل والتمور، وكرنفال بريدة للتمور، إلى جانب حضور سفراء الدول التي ترتبط بعضويتها بالمجلس الدولي للتمور.
ويشمل البرنامج تنظيم زيارات ميدانية، وتوقيع سجلات شرف، وتبادل هدايا من منتجات التمور السعودية، بما يعكس مكانة المملكة الريادية في هذا القطاع الزراعي الحيوي، ويعزز من حضور التمور السعودية في الساحة العالمية بصفتها رمزًا اقتصاديًا وثقافيًا ودبلوماسيًا.
The Buraidah Date Festival launched a unique initiative called "Date Diplomacy," as the first global diplomatic program in the field of dates; aimed at enhancing international cooperation and showcasing the Kingdom's efforts in supporting the palm and date sector, starting from the Al-Qassim region.
The program aims to introduce ambassadors and diplomatic missions to the activities of the festival and the economic, cultural, and heritage events related to dates, in addition to strengthening relations between member countries of the International Date Council, contributing to making dates a tool for cultural communication and economic support between nations.
The initiative is being implemented in collaboration with the Emirate of Al-Qassim, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Center for Palms and Dates, and the Buraidah Date Festival, along with the attendance of ambassadors from countries that are members of the International Date Council.
The program includes organizing field visits, signing honor registers, and exchanging gifts of Saudi date products, reflecting the Kingdom's pioneering position in this vital agricultural sector and enhancing the presence of Saudi dates on the global stage as an economic, cultural, and diplomatic symbol.
