تحت رعاية خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، تنظِّم جامعة أمِّ القرى خلال الفترة من 25 - 27 أغسطس الجاري، مؤتمر «مسؤوليَّة الجامعات في تعزيز القيم والوعي الفكري»، وذلك في قاعة الملك عبدالعزيز التاريخية بالمدينة الجامعية بالعابدية.
ويهدف المؤتمر إلى إبراز دور المملكة في تعزيز القيم الإنسانية والوعي الفكري، وتبادل الخبرات وتنظيم المبادرات المشتركة بين الجامعات السعودية والقطاعات ذات العلاقة، وإبراز دور الجامعات تجاه دعم مؤسسات التنشئة الاجتماعية، ووضع حلول لأبرز التحديات المعاصرة التي تواجه القيم والوعي الفكري، إضافة إلى رسم رؤية استشرافية لمسؤولية الجامعات السعودية في ذلك.
ويتضمَّن المؤتمر 5 جلسات علمية، وورش عمل، وحلقات نقاش؛ يشارك فيها أكثر من 24 متحدثاً من: الأكاديميِّين، والخبراء، والمفكرين، ويستهدف منسوبي الجامعات من الطلبة وأعضاء هيئة التدريس والموظفين وخبراء الوعي الفكري والمؤسسات الثقافية والاجتماعية والإعلامية ورواد الأعمال؛ لتوحيد الجهود وتبادل الرؤى حول تعزيز القيم الراسخة والوعي الفكري المستنير.
وأشار رئيس جامعة أمِّ القرى الدكتور معدي بن محمد آل مذهب، إلى أن تنظيم المؤتمر جاء انطلاقاً من التزام الجامعة برسالتها العلمية والمجتمعية، وحرصها على الإسهام الفاعل في ترسيخ القيم وتعزيز الوعي الفكري؛ بما يواكب تطلعات القيادة، ويُجسِّد مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030؛ مؤكداً أن المؤتمر يُمثِّل منصة وطنيَّة تجمع الخبرات والتجارب الفكرية والأكاديمية؛ لتعزيز دور الجامعات في بناء مجتمع واعٍ بقيمه الإسلامية الوسطية والأصيلة.
Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Umm Al-Qura University is organizing the conference "The Responsibility of Universities in Promoting Values and Intellectual Awareness" from August 25 to 27, in the King Abdulaziz Historical Hall at the university campus in Al-Abdiyyah.
The conference aims to highlight the Kingdom's role in promoting human values and intellectual awareness, exchanging experiences, and organizing joint initiatives between Saudi universities and related sectors. It will also emphasize the role of universities in supporting socialization institutions and finding solutions to the most prominent contemporary challenges facing values and intellectual awareness, in addition to outlining a forward-looking vision for the responsibility of Saudi universities in this regard.
The conference will include 5 scientific sessions, workshops, and discussion panels, featuring more than 24 speakers from academics, experts, and thinkers. It targets university members, including students, faculty, staff, experts in intellectual awareness, cultural and social institutions, media professionals, and entrepreneurs, to unify efforts and exchange views on promoting established values and enlightened intellectual awareness.
Dr. Maadi bin Muhammad Al-Mudhahib, President of Umm Al-Qura University, indicated that the organization of the conference stems from the university's commitment to its scientific and community message and its eagerness to actively contribute to instilling values and enhancing intellectual awareness, in line with the aspirations of the leadership and embodying the objectives of Vision 2030. He emphasized that the conference represents a national platform that brings together intellectual and academic experiences and practices to enhance the role of universities in building a community that is aware of its moderate and authentic Islamic values.
