تُوِّج المنتخب السعودي بميدالية ذهبية وميداليتين فضيتين في منافسات الأولمبياد الدولي للمواصفات في نسخته العشرين (ISO 2025)، الذي استضافته مدينة سيهونغ في كوريا خلال الفترة من 12 إلى 14 أغسطس 2025، بمشاركة 40 فريقاً من مختلف دول العالم.
ويأتي هذا الإنجاز بعد مشاركة المملكة الأولى العام الماضي، التي حققت خلالها ميدالية برونزية وشهادة تقدير، ليؤكد التطور المتصاعد لأداء الطلبة السعوديين في المحافل الدولية، ويجسّد التزام المملكة بنشر ثقافة الجودة لدى النشء، ضمن رؤية وطنية طموحة.
ومثّل المملكة في هذه الدورة 4 فرق طلابية من المرحلتين المتوسطة والثانوية، جرى إعدادهم وترشيحهم للمنافسة من خلال برامج تدريبية وتأهيلية مكثفة، ضمن شراكة إستراتيجية بين مؤسسة الملك عبدالعزيز ورجاله للموهبة والإبداع «موهبة»، ووزارة التعليم، والهيئة السعودية للمواصفات والمقاييس والجودة.
وفاز بالميدالية الذهبية فريق المرحلة المتوسطة (بنات)، المكوَّن من الطالبة ميان خان من تعليم مكة، والطالبة وجد حسوبة من تعليم المدينة المنورة، والطالبة إيمان الزهر من تعليم عسير.
ونال فريق المرحلة المتوسطة (بنين)، المكوَّن من الطالب علي العجاج، والطالب فواز القحطاني من تعليم الشرقية، والطالب طلال القحطاني من تعليم الرياض، الميدالية الفضية.
وحصل فريق المرحلة الثانوية (بنات)، المكوَّن من الطالبة سلاف الرقيبة من تعليم القصيم، والطالبة عريب العتيبي من تعليم المدينة المنورة، والطالبة فاطمة آل بن صالح من تعليم الأحساء، على الميدالية الفضية.
ويهدف الأولمبياد الدولي للمواصفات، الذي يُقام سنوياً منذ عام 2006 في كوريا، إلى تعزيز الوعي لدى طلبة المرحلتين المتوسطة والثانوية بمفاهيم المواصفات والمقاييس والجودة، وتشجيعهم على تبادل الأفكار الجديدة حول المعايير والتقنيات الحديثة.
The Saudi team was awarded a gold medal and two silver medals at the International Standards Olympiad in its twentieth edition (ISO 2025), which was hosted in the city of Seongdong, Korea, from August 12 to 14, 2025, with the participation of 40 teams from various countries around the world.
This achievement comes after the Kingdom's first participation last year, during which it won a bronze medal and a certificate of appreciation, confirming the rising performance of Saudi students in international forums and embodying the Kingdom's commitment to spreading a culture of quality among the youth, as part of an ambitious national vision.
The Kingdom was represented in this edition by 4 student teams from the middle and high school levels, who were prepared and nominated for competition through intensive training and qualification programs, as part of a strategic partnership between the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity "Mawhiba," the Ministry of Education, and the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization.
The gold medal was won by the middle school girls' team, consisting of student Mayan Khan from Makkah Education, student Wajd Hasoubah from Madinah Education, and student Iman Al-Zahr from Asir Education.
The middle school boys' team, consisting of student Ali Al-Ajjaj, student Fawaz Al-Qahtani from Eastern Province Education, and student Talal Al-Qahtani from Riyadh Education, won the silver medal.
The high school girls' team, consisting of student Sulaf Al-Ruqaybah from Qassim Education, student Areeb Al-Otaibi from Madinah Education, and student Fatimah Al-Bin Saleh from Al-Ahsa Education, also received the silver medal.
The International Standards Olympiad, held annually since 2006 in Korea, aims to enhance the awareness of middle and high school students about the concepts of standards, metrology, and quality, and to encourage them to exchange new ideas about modern standards and technologies.
