Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz met today with the French Minister of the Interior, Bruno Retailleau, at the French Ministry of the Interior in Paris.

During the meeting, a number of topics related to security matters between the interior ministries of the two friendly countries were discussed.

Following the meeting, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud and the French Minister of the Interior held an official discussion session.

Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud emphasized that the discussion session aims to enhance security cooperation between the two friendly countries, in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in light of the distinguished relations that bind the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the French Republic.

He pointed to the Kingdom's government's keenness to elevate the level of cooperation and work with the French Republic to combat crime in all its forms and pursue its perpetrators, confront international drug trafficking networks and money laundering, and exchange expertise between specialists in both countries, noting the achievements made in the previous period in the fields of security cooperation.

During his speech at the meeting, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud congratulated the French Minister of the Interior on the occasion of the National Day of the French Republic, wishing the government and people of the French Republic lasting security, safety, and prosperity.

After the session, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud and the French Minister of the Interior signed the executive document for future security cooperation pathways between the Ministry of the Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of the Interior of the French Republic.

Attending the discussion session were the Assistant Minister of the Interior Dr. Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al-Falih, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the French Republic Fahd bin Ma'ayouf Al-Ruwaili, the Director General of the Minister's Office for Studies and Research Major General Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Arawan, the Supervisor of the International Partnerships Program Major General Mohammed bin Ali Al-Habdan, the Director General of the General Administration for Legal Affairs and International Cooperation Ahmed bin Suleiman Al-Essa, and a number of senior officials from the French Ministry of the Interior.
