دشنت وزارة الشؤون الإسلامية مكتبة الأمير نايف بن عبدالعزيز في مقر المعهد الإسلامي بالعاصمة السنغالية داكار، وذلك بعد الانتهاء من أعمال الترميم والتجهيز التي أشرفت عليها الملحقية الدينية بسفارة المملكة في السنغال، بحضور وزير التربية الوطنية بجمهورية السنغال مصطفى مامبا جيراسي، وسفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى السنغال سعد عبدالله النفيعي.
وألقى مدير المعهد الإسلامي أحمد الصغير أمبي كلمة عبر فيها عن شكره للمملكة على دعمها المتواصل للعلم والتعليم في السنغال، منوهاً بالأثر الكبير الذي ستحدثه المكتبة في تيسير الاطلاع والبحث العلمي للطلاب والباحثين.
من جانبه، أكد وزير التربية الوطنية السنغالي أن تدشين مكتبة علمية بهذا الحجم يُعد استثماراً في مستقبل الأجيال القادمة، معرباً عن تطلّعه إلى تطويرها من خلال التحول الرقمي؛ بما يسهم في توسيع قاعدة المعرفة وسهولة الوصول إلى ملايين الكتب والمراجع المتخصصة.
بدوره، أشاد السفير النفيعي بعمق العلاقات التاريخية والأخوية بين المملكة العربية السعودية وجمهورية السنغال، التي تمتد لأكثر من 65 عاماً من التعاون في مختلف المجالات.
يشار إلى أن مكتبة الأمير نايف بن عبدالعزيز التي تضم آلاف الكتب والمراجع في مجالات العقيدة والفقه واللغة والتاريخ وغيرها من العلوم، تُعد إضافة نوعية للمعهد الإسلامي بداكار، ورافداً علمياً مهماً لتعزيز الثقافة الشرعية والمعرفية بين طلاب العلم في جمهورية السنغال.

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs inaugurated the Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Library at the Islamic Institute in the Senegalese capital, Dakar, following the completion of renovation and preparation works overseen by the Religious Attaché at the Kingdom's Embassy in Senegal. The event was attended by the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Senegal, Mustafa Mamba Jirassi, and the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Senegal, Saad Abdullah Al-Nafai.
In his speech, the Director of the Islamic Institute, Ahmed Al-Saghir Amby, expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom for its continuous support for education and knowledge in Senegal, highlighting the significant impact the library will have in facilitating access to information and scientific research for students and researchers.
For his part, the Senegalese Minister of National Education affirmed that the inauguration of a scientific library of this size is an investment in the future of upcoming generations, expressing his hope to develop it through digital transformation, which will contribute to expanding the knowledge base and ease of access to millions of specialized books and references.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Al-Nafai praised the depth of the historical and fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Senegal, which have extended for more than 65 years of cooperation in various fields.
It is worth noting that the Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Library, which includes thousands of books and references in the fields of creed, jurisprudence, language, history, and other sciences, is a qualitative addition to the Islamic Institute in Dakar and an important scientific resource to enhance religious and intellectual culture among students of knowledge in the Republic of Senegal.
