أشاد الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية جاسم محمد البديوي، بالجهود القيمة التي بذلتها دولة قطر في التوسط بين ممثلي حكومة جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية وممثلي تحالف نهر الكونغو، التي أسفرت عن التوصل إلى إعلان مبادئ يمهد الطريق إلى انطلاق مفاوضات بناءة تهدف إلى تعزيز السلام والاستقرار في جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية.
وثمّن البديوي الدور الدبلوماسي الفاعل لدولة قطر وسعيها المتواصل لتعزيز دعائم السلم الإقليمي والدولي، من خلال دعم الحوار والتفاهم بين الأطراف المختلفة، مؤكداً أن هذه المبادرة تعكس التزام قطر الثابت بسياسة الوساطة، والحرص على تسوية النزاعات بالوسائل السلمية والحوار، بما ينسجم مع ميثاق الأمم المتحدة والقانون الدولي.
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasem Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, praised the valuable efforts made by the State of Qatar in mediating between representatives of the Government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and representatives of the Congo River Alliance, which resulted in reaching a declaration of principles that paves the way for the launch of constructive negotiations aimed at enhancing peace and stability in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Al-Budaiwi appreciated Qatar's active diplomatic role and its continuous efforts to strengthen the pillars of regional and international peace by supporting dialogue and understanding among the various parties, affirming that this initiative reflects Qatar's steadfast commitment to a policy of mediation and its keenness to resolve conflicts through peaceful means and dialogue, in accordance with the United Nations Charter and international law.
