The French Football Federation announced the absence of Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé from participating in the "Les Bleus" training yesterday (Tuesday), in the first camp under the leadership of new coach Zinedine Zidane.
Zidane Prepares for His First Test
Zidane took over the coaching of France following Didier Deschamps after the end of the 2026 World Cup, and he will begin his tenure with a match against Turkey next Friday, as part of the group stage in the UEFA Nations League, before visiting Belgium, and then hosting Italy and Belgium in October.
Health Issues Keep Mbappé Out
The French Federation clarified that Mbappé missed yesterday's training after showing flu-like symptoms, raising doubts about his readiness to participate in the team's first matches in the UEFA Nations League.
The Real Madrid forward remained at the French national team's accommodation, while the other players participated in the training, preparing for their first appearance under Zidane's leadership.
